• Good location. Helpful staff. Very good cooked breakfast (but no muesli or wholewheat cereal)
• Tired hotel. Some installations needed renewing. Room small and cramped. Parking annoying.

• Staff were very friendly and tried to assist where possible.
• Parking was very limited and not very convenient. Hotel was generally a bit shabby - needs redecorating

“Booking process and directions to hotel were excellent.
Parking was difficult.
Room was clean but shabby.
I ordered room service which was delivered efficiently, but plates were cold and main course wasn't covered so was cold by the time I ate.
Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly.”

• Insufficient drawer space in the single room

• Almost nothing, it is in Clifton (good).
• Not given the room I booked. Fobbed off with an unacceptable alternative. Poor value.

“I specifically booked one of the 'family rooms' with presumably proper beds. I am very careful not to book camp/pull out beds as my son is tall. This was confirmed by the price quoted. I was given a small double room with a camp bed squeezed in, making it impossible to stand on the floor beside the double bed. This is hazardous in the event of fire etc. and this is an issue I shall be pursuing with the Avon Fire Brigade.My son stayed with friends rather than endure that. The room was tatty, damp on walls and peeling wallpaper. Lots of street noise (no double glazing), paper-thin walls (snoring next room+++). '5 per day for unsecure on street parking is a complete rip-off at the weekend. The hotel overall is less than 2 star. After complaining at check-out I was charged '70 for a double rather than '80 but the hassle spoiled an important family visit.
My worst experience of dozens of internet hotel bookings.”

• Excellent Breakfast and accommodating staff
• Limited parking

“Generally our stay was a pleasant one other than the following minor points.The bedroom required some remedial work to the wallpaper and possibly renewal of the bathroom equipment. A double room would have been more comfortable if two chairs had been provided as two persons were occupying the room.I would recommend this Hotel to others on the proviso these minor changes had been carried out.”

• Very little parking, but can find free on road parking 50-300m away

“Rooms basic but clean.
Breakfast cooked freshly and not swimming in grease
Bar shut at 11pm (friday & saturday) with very poor after hour selection for guests.
Overpriced (as most UK hotels!)”
