Ideally situated near the River Cam, city centre and colleges and most business parks. Providing comfortable accommodation and a homely atmosphere. Cambridge is one of the most beautiful cities in Britain and is steeped in history and tradition. Acorn Guest House is ideally situated for a visit to both the city and the surrounding area. Cambridge is a city best discovered on foot and guests find our location ideal for exploring the sights. Acorn Guest House is located within walking distance of the River Cam, the historic city centre and the famous colleges. If travelling on foot to the centre, the journey is a pleasant walk alongside the river and across the greens. There are a number of pubs alongside the river. You may see crews of rowers on the river and in the summer, you will see punting. For the less energetic, there are frequent buses from the bus stop located close by. We are strictly a non-smoking establishment, and no pets. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT ACCEPT ONE NIGHT STAYS over the weekend from March to October.[less]

Central location to downtown restaurants & attractions (Cambridge University & shops. Good breakfast.
Small, very cramped rooms, musty smell. Shower was completely useless as water sprayed all over & was low pressure.

“For a 3-day stay at '55 per night, my single room that was the length & width of the twin bed plus 18 inches beside the bed - was even hard to open the door as the end of the bed was in the way. To get into the bathroom, I had to curl around the door, then under the sink to get to the toilet. This was a closet, not a room, and if I hadn't had other relatives who'd booked a family room (which fitted a double and twin bed with little space more than that), I'd not have been able to dress for the wedding without sustaining bruises! It really was bed & breakfast in the strictest interpretation but it's nice to have some space ti move without hurting oneself! *no dresser or anywhere to put clothes for duration of stay, and if suitcase was out, no room to move at all!”
