• hotel was centrally located and security was good
• room was small for price

“The hotel provided a clean secure bed for the night and a clean bathroom. It felt rather a dull place the breakfast room looked a bit old fashioned and the waiting staff were not very friendly. I would not stay here again for the price charged, but the location was excellent for staying in Cambridge.”

• Room was a bit small and also the bed

“Generally very good attentive staff. We arrived early as we were going to a wedding and were allowed to check in early which was helpful and flexible. We actually ended up in a room that was not the one we had originally booked and that is probably why it was a bit small.
Good positon in Cambridge- easy walking distance from town.”

• Very friendly and room in excellent condition. Also the veggie menu is a big plus.

“I couldn't really fault this hotel on price and location. Very convenient for a stay visiting Cambridge centre. I liked that the hotel had a vegetarian menu, and while I didn't try any of the meals (I'm vegan but was eating out anyway, I'd like to know if they cater for vegans for any future stays though) it shows they are keen to cater for all. And that summed up this hotel: I found the staff very friendly and helpful, and the room very pleasant to stay in. Highly recommended.”

• Location, all the hotel facilities were great and looked great.
• The room felt a bit small, but very nice anyway.

“I think the price was good but would have merited a bigger bed. The room was a bit small, but quaint. The hotel was very nice and impressive anyway, and the staff was great. I don't think the size of the room created an issue with quality, just something I'm not used to.”

• The room was clean, the location excellent.
• Small rooms. Lacked broadband Internet or cable TV.

• Our room was large and comfortable and had a lovely view over the River Cam and Jesus Field.
• I would have liked a bigger digital TV with more facilities on it e.g. BBC 24 channel as well as Teletex which would also have a TV guide on it and give me access to other information which would have been useful.

“Because I booked on line I didn't know that I would have a front facing room. Room 202 is just what I would have wanted anyway. Next time I would want the same sort of room, i.e in front and with the minimum number of stairs to climb. Perhaps the room layout of the hotel on your website would be useful.”

• N' zu Magdalen-College, gutes Restaurant, gute Parkm'glichkeit f'r Besucher, leicht zu finden
• Fr'hst'ckskaffee verdient diese Bezeichnung nicht, eine wenig interessierte Dame in der Rezeption

“Das Haus ist im allgemeinen ordentlich gef'hrt, das Personal freundlich (insbesondere im Restaurant), eine Ausnahme an der Rezeption wurde schon angef'hrt. Die Treppen im Haus sind eng und schmal - f'r 'ere oder behinderte Menschen schwierig zu bew'igen.”

• Comfortable room,pleasant situation & near to centre/colleges
• No bath

“Everything Ok but hotel staff should remind guests not to use mobile phone in the dining room especially at dinner when other diners do not want to hear other people';s loud telephone conversations. Why can't they ask them to take calls outside the dining area?”

• Good parking, excellent proximity to town

“Very nice hotel practically in the centre of town. Free parking was a major bonus. Liked the key card system, didn't have to worry about leaving possessions in the room.”
