“The rooms are shabby, and need updating. The shower was pathetic, and nowhere to put the soap, or shampoo. Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall. The shower room and toilet, was like being in a telephone box. There were pieces of colored string on the floor, left from previous guests. Still there when we left (floor wasn't cleaned at all)in fact the state of the cleaning was a disgrace. The bar staff didn't know what a glass of apple juice was (couldn't speak English!) The dining room staff, with the exception of one, the same. The gents toilets near the restaurant, was broken. The meals were beautifully presented, but you needed a magnifying glass, to find a vegetable. Fortunately we were only on a special 3 days; I would hate to pay a#22 50 for the meals they turn out. On the 3rd. Night we had a fantastic meal at the pub. Down the road (the brown horse) we would stay there next time. We were not the only ones, who have passed these. comments, many at the hotel at the time, said the same. We were glad to come home. The scenery was beautiful. But saying that, the first room (36) we were in as we had no shower, we were moved to room 17-awful, our veiws, were the scruffy flat roofs of the hotel, gone was the fantastic veiw we had. The hotel if you can call it that, should be a 1star. Just for position.”
