• Nice location.
• Dated interior, unclean and poor reception area.

“We booked this room over the internet and we arrived at 1.00. Only a phone on reception which we dialed and the message was basically reception opens at 2.00. We walked around battle, lovely place, and came back and was given a room at the very top. Very dated, unclean and bed appeared to be very lumpy. We complained and after some discussion we was moved down to the next floor which was better. We are not usually the type of people that complain but felt, on this occasion, we needed to. Other people, who had also booked there, were not happy. Cannot comment on breakfast as we decided to give it a miss!”

• Clean.
• No hot water in the evening; over-heated room, dilapidated decoration, noisy.

“If you are a light sleeper, make sure you don't get a room over-looking the main road.”

• Comfortable four poster bed; nice bathroom; High Street location
• Noisy fronting onto street; small fluo. light in bathroom not working

• Nice comfortable bed, bath and shower available.
• Was completely happy with everything

“I arrived quite late, but the service was great, I was the only person staying that night, and they let me have breakfast earlier than the normal start time for breakfast, as I had to get away early to get to a town nearby. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and the hotel in general. It was very easy to find, and a nice location. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.”

• Room was a little past it's best.
