A welcome fit for a King awaits you at the King's Head Hotel, whether you choose to dine with us or stay longer, perhaps in a four-poster bedroom. The hotel is dedicated to Henry VII, the first Tudor monarch who, by defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, brought the Wars of the Roses to an end. Our busy Laings Bar serves traditional and contemporary bar meals together with a selection of real ales and an extensive wine list. For those desiring a more secluded meal, the Minster Room offers an alternative setting; it can also be booked for private functions of up to 35 people. What's so special about us? The King's Head has recently benefited from a major refit and is once again taking pride of place in the town square. The 27 en-suite bedrooms are all tastefully furnished to a high standard. There are facilities for meetings, conferences and small wedding receptions. A lift is available.[less]
