• Comfortable bed.
• Poor bar service, poor maintenance service, loud corridors due to uneven flooring.

“Grotty. Not dissimilar to a roadside motorway hotel.”

• The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, decorated in restful pale colours.
• There was nothing we didn't like. Maybe we could have done with an extra chair.

“The family room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. In spite of facing the main road, it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our car in the hotel car park and go up to London by train. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

• Comfortable room.

“The only point about which I was unhappy was that I was asked on the website what time I wanted to check in. As I had just flown into the country, I had asked for an early morning check in. I didn't actually arrive until about 12.30, but was told that I could not have my room until 2pm! After complaining to the receptionist and being told that their website did not ask for a check in time, I was found another room which had been prepared.”

• Food was good, large well equiped rooms, quick check-in, short walk to town
• No late licence at the bar for guests. Hard to find staff when required eg: at breakfast.

“The hotel is in a good location close to the town. The staff were helpful when we could find them. The rooms were clean and spacious and the towls were replaced every day. There was plenty of car parking and the bar area with its big sofa was comfy if a little stark.”
