• Location - good.
• Food - not good.

“About 50 people were booked into the restaurant for a family birthday. People traveled from all areas of the country. The food requests were booked month and half in advanced and it was not nice at all. The meals were brought out in drifts and the vegetarian & potatoes were cold. The chips were burnt to a crisp which was sent back then when the others came out they were raw in the middle. My youngest daughter had egg, chips & beans but only ended up with egg because the chips were inedible. My other two children had burgers & chips (and they knew they were for children) were so spicy that even my husband could not eat it so we had to share our meals with them otherwise they would have had nothing to eat. The Béarnaise sauce on the steak was split. When speaking to other members of the party they all said that it was not up to standard for a restaurant that boast's of a La Carte (worst meal my family has ever eaten) would never eat here again. Staff was trying hard but the food was coming out of the kitchen too slow. However one waitress replied to a comment from another party that we were taking too long to go home (not realizing that I was part of that group) (we was not told there was a time limit on the booking (the time was 10 pm). The chef (chefs) cannot cater for a large party. The meal cost us £102.00 for two adults and three children without drinks (not worth a penny of it). Restaurant Manager could not do enough for you.”

• The Staff were friendly and helpful and the Hotel had character. No four straight concrete walls a la everyone else.

• The meals. Both excellent regards quality and quantity
• Problem with tap in original room. My room was changed immediatly to rectify this

• Ample parking, good location and decor was good.
• Check in slow,long wait for meals, room description wrong and no breakfast.

“This Hotel was under staffed and the ones that were there lacked communication between them. The check in was slow and the wait for the evening meal was over an hour. The room description was wrong and there was no breakfast not even continental.”
