• The view from the room was absolutely fabulous and so was the bed. The food was great and the bar ditto.

“It is a very posh hotel in beautiful surroundings. Ideal for a romantic get-away. The rooms are somewhat expensive considering the seize and the state of the furniture, but view to some degree justifies the price. Highly recommendable hotel.”

• Excellent Breakfast, Excellent View from my room (12A).
• Checkout Too punctual.

“Things that should continue:
1. Overall A very good place to stay in. Friendly helpful staff.
2. Excellent View from my room (12A). Fresh air from golf course and fields.
3. Excellent Breakfast.
4. Quiet rooms area, separate from pub area.
5. No smell of cigarette smoke in the room.
6. Extra portable heater in room - helps as it gets very cold despite the central heating.

Things that can be improved
1. Bathroom - good size, but fittings very old, especially shower.
Can have hand-held shower. Strong water flow is important.
2. Should have several copies of a Road map of Kirkcaldy, Fife, Perth, St Andrews and other surrounding areas of interest that can be accessed in a day's drive. The counter staff managed to find a town map of Kirkcaldy which they kindly lent to me. However, I had to spend hours after that looking around the town for suitable maps for out of town - wasting valuable holiday time.
3. Checkout Too punctual. Came back a little late to find my room being cleaned already!”

• room - comforatble bed welcome - cheerful staff - good atmosphere lovely view - welcome glass of wine and chocs v pleasant
• cd not get bath to fill - shower option stuck on kettle was stuck on and had boiled dry - bit dangerous - but rectified as soon as I mnetioned it
