  • The pool was great, the room was romantic.
  • Finding it and the location.

“Parking was in a gravel lot and the distance was too far for the style of hotel, a porter should be watching a screen TV for help and safety.”

  • Hotel looked great, both outside and inside. Restaurant was really good with great wine selection and very good breakfast.

“The hotel was somehow difficult to find at the beginning but once we figured it out it was not so bad. The room was great and the personnel very nice. The restaurant is a little bit expensive but the food is really good and the restaurant manager very helpful.”

  • The rooms were luxurious.
  • The hotel is far away from Florence, not even on the map.

“From the reception to the rooms, this is a deluxe property. However, it appears as though the builders ran out of money when building the parking lot. Clients must drag their luggage across a lot paved with little white stones. The extra services in the hotel, from the restaurant to internet services are very, very expensive. The fixed prix dinner started at 42 euros without wine. Internet access was a half a euro per minute. When I asked the front desk for a map of Florence, he had a standard visitor's map of the Florence area. The location of the hotel was somewhere off the map. The main reason to stay at this hotel must be for the hotel, not the location.”

  • Hotel was near the airport and desk staffs were excellent. Restaurant service and food was very good but pricey.
  • Although hotel is near the airport it is very confusing to drive to. It is isolated so you need to use their pricey restaurant although it is nice.

“Hotel is very nice. Room was nice and opened to a patio. Onsite restaurant was very good but pricey and since hotel is very isolated, no other restaurant options within walking distance. Getting to the airport which should have been a 20 minute commute was very confusing due to Italian highway signage. Overall very nice.”

  • Beautiful pool.
  • It was not in Florence. It was far away from center.

“It was a 25 euro taxi ride from the airport. It was a 30 euro taxi ride into Florence and was not even in the city of Florence. It was in Campi a different city.”

  • This hotel had an expensive feel to it.
  • Understaffed at desk. Only 1 van into town but needed 10. Must pay for every little thing, like a towel. 5 minutes for e-mail etc.

“This hotel is way out of the way. Not easy to get to even for the cab drivers who don't want to leave Florence to begin with. Shuttle service is a joke. Only 8 allowed even though 40 are waiting. Every other hotel had coffee and Danish in the mornings. This hotel was just pay all the time. Very clean rooms. Almost sterile. There is no way to get to this hotel except by cab. No buses, trains or walking. We tried.”

  • Location out of the city, close to airport, comfortable.
  • Hard to find, expensive cab ride from city.

“Polite, English speaking staff, beautiful grounds and buildings but in a industrial area. Though given instructions by the staff over the phone, location was tricky to find. Very upscale modern rooms, traditionally beautiful oasis in the grounds. I would stay there again if not wanting to go into central Florence. Very close to airport.”

  • The setting of the hotel is pastoral and there were many birds, gardens and flowers.
  • The rooms and desk were a little small.

“Though somewhat outside of downtown Florence, it is a nice place to retreat to after the business of the day. The shuttle service works well from the hotel to downtown, though there is only one trip each way per day. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is a very nice shopping mall nearby but it is only accessible by taxi or car, as it is too dangerous to walk the short distance (1 km).”

  • Friendly and accommodating staff.
  • Original room had been sprayed with unbearable insecticide.

“Relative new hotel, with a few kinks still to be refined. Could develop into a deluxe hotel. Our (second) room was cold and heating didn't seem to be working right. Ice cold floors in plush bathroom, shower fixture broken, could only use hand shower. Had to crawl under bed covers to get warm.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[2]

  • The rooms were spacious and clean.
  • The location is way too far from Florence center.

“Very misleading to say that this hotel was 10 minutes from the center of Florence. Without any traffic at all, it takes at least 30 minutes to get to the center. Considering that taxis were on strike when we arrived in Florence, the location of this hotel made our entire trip a nightmare, to say the least.”
