• clean, comfortable, friendly, excellent food available, helpful staff
• Had to check in at the bar of the pub which was a bit confusing

“Booked this hotel because of it's location - near to our babysitter and in a nice area.
Slight confusion when checking in as the reception area was closed and we had to check in at the bar, although this was no bother as we were heading that way anyway.
We weren't disappointed with our room. We booked a four poster room, and though the bed was not a genuine four poster bed, but one with brass headboard and footboard we have no complaints - especially with the general cleanliness and the widescreen TV with the DVD player! The bathroom was very modern - only down side was that the shower was not as powerful as we are used to.
The pub was great, serving both good beer and great food. We did eat lunch there, as well as the breakfast.
We went out for a Thai meal in the evening and spent the last hour or so in the bar of the Feathers, feeling extremely comfortable and taking advantage of the cheap doubles!
Other than the slight headache in the morning, I can have no complaintsd about the cooked breakfast - it set me up for the day, I can tell you.
Overall, an excellent experience!”

• Very clean, staff very nice, food excellent, would definately stay again.

“I really enjoyed my stay at The Feathers Inn it was recommended to me. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed (hair dryer, trouser press). The staff were extremely nice and even the locals made us feel at home. I would definately recommend the hotel to other people.”

• easy parking and good choice at breakfast
• Disappointed after long and hot journey to find no shower in room

“Staff were extremely friendly and gave a very warm welcome. Staff gave me very good directions to Knebworth House! Food was very tasty. I cannot fault the hotel, the staff or the area - my only reservation is the fact that there was no shower included in the en-suite facilities - I find this very unusual.”

• Excellent breakfast, quick service, friendly staff. Excellent car parking. Reasonable price for what was provided.
• Basic room. Overall impression of the hotel was it needed refurbishment. No shower.

“Really as above.
For the money it was fine. Very conveneient to where we attended a wedding. The breakfast was a winner.”
