“I found high quality accommodation and service and felt it represented very good value - a breath of fresh air, in fact, compared to most hotels in this price range.

• I thought it was an extremely pleasant hotel, well run and very clean and comfortable

“I didn't know anything about the hotel when I booked it online but I found it to be extremely comfortable with a very good level of care and accommodation. Unlike larger chain hotels, the Cheltenham townhouse felt very personal and everything was of high ”

• Friendly owners, good breakfasts, car park was bonus.
• Shower was in room, with no frosted glass on the door, having a shower made you very exposed!

“Overall we were very pleased with our stay, the staff were very helpful and the hotel has been decorated beautifully. The only quibble was that the door didn't shut properly on the toilet and the door on the shower wasn't frosted.
I liked the idea of the DVD library and the honesty bar was a good idea although, coming in at 11.30 on a Saturday, the bar was no longer available which was a shame.
We would stay here again.”

• Very nice decor,clean, comfortable,nice area.Good facilities,DVDetc nice breakfast and nice touches.
• Not alot of storage space if staying longer than a weekend.

“This hotel was very nice, in a good position to walk into town with
nice restaurants within walking distance.Nice touches like papers in the morning which could be read in the comfortable lounge.Very well
decorated, stylish.
Very comfortable ,large beds.Not too noisy.
Very nice breakfast,served efficiently. Would definately pay another
visit, also got an upgrade on the room on arrival!”

• Easy to book, good directions, pleasant staff. Very good food, good recommendaion of local restaurant.
• TV too high on wall, made veiwing a bit hard.

• Ideally located on the edge of the town and Pittville Park, clean, modern, lovely breakfast, very relaxing.
• Bedside light didn't work, would have liked fresh milk in the room, limited supply of coffee.

“We booked late but fell lucky - had a very comfortable and relaxed stay.
As we travelled by rail we would've liked to know the most direct route to the hotel from the train station - but not really a negative in the end as we discovered more of Cheltenham!”

• Very small car park, no evening meal service

• informal atmosphere, just like being at a friends' house for a short visit.

“The informal approach was good, the access to a dvd and book library was a good touch, enabling you properly relax. Breakfast was served promptly and was freshly cooked. Staff were very attentive, nothing seemed too much trouble.”

• Tea/Coffe facilities in the room

“The Townhouse is probably one of the better places i have stayed in over the 12 months i have been travelling. The staff were friendly, room was cosy and the bed was soooo comfortable. The fact that there were DVD facilities in the room was a bonus. I would definitely book this hotel again if I am going to the races”

• we liked all the tasteful touches. nice table layout a breakfast. offer of drinks in lounge, dvd and games chioce.
• would have been happier with a better selection of toiletries. plus a bit more generous with tea and coffee supplies.

“The hotel was tasteful wondefuly clean. Our room was spacious and bedding was special. We liked the breakfast dining room as no expense spared with matching crockery and food. nice hotel.”

“Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Sometimes hard to get hold of reception. Noisy children in room above us but difficult to know what the hotel could have done about this. Middle of December but the heating didn't go on until 18:00 therefore the room was cold. The DVD library and honesty bar were a nice touch. Facilities like these make one feel welcome - a nice change from the usual list of hotel rules.”

• Very well appointed hotel. I was particuarly impressed with the way in which all modern hotel facilities had been sensitively incorporated into a very impressive building.

• Spacious, clean and modern rooms.
• Shower didn't work properly!

“A pretty well-situated and tastefully modernised small hotel. We had booked a bathroom but were given a room with shower which was a shame.

There were some small issues that were a bit disappointing such as the very thin toilet paper. Also that the heating didn't come on until 5pm - and this on a very cold December weekend! It seemed as though the owners were cutting corners a bit.

The breakfasts were excellent and I'd particularly recommend the Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Egg on toast which was delicious.

We'd booked a room with bath but were given one with a shower. This was a shame but didn't spoil our weekend.”

• The location was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful.

“The hotel was in a lovely area of Cheltenham and a 10 minute walk into
town. The atmosphere was very calming and the room, although in the
basement of the hotel was very light and airy. The shower in our room
was not working properly and should have been checked before we arrived but overall our room was very nice. The cooked breakfast was
lovely. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to take advantage
of the comfortable lounge but we would consider a return visit.”
