  • Everything.
  • Nothing.

“Difficult to fault this hotel. I went there with a group of 17 French people and had no complaints from anyone! Staff very friendly and always ready to help. They even kept the restaurant open for us until 10pm as we arrived pretty late. Rooms are perfect and feel as if they have just been redecorated. Lots of nice details too in rooms. Coffee, tea, chocolate etc in rooms, trouser press, guide on London etc all things to add for extra comfort. ”

  • Large room. Very helpful staff.
  • Loud music from the downstairs bar continued until 11.

“The hotel is in a gret location for central London; a few minutes walk from Waterloo and in the middle of the Tate Moden, Westminster and an Imax cinema. The staff were all very helpful, from check-in to breakfast. The room was spacious with all the necessary amenities.
despite a weird spongey floor and some cosmetic flaws, the bathroom was again, spacious and functional.
My biggest gripe was that the bar on the ground floor of the hotel had loud music playing until 11 that resonated right through my room (on the first floor). I did stay on a Friday night so maybe it's quieter through the week, but I'd have been annoyed and unsuccessful if I'd needed to get to sleep early. But it was a good pub!”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[4] •

  • Good central location
  • The room was shabby and dirty.

“Good location however the room was very grubby and tired. The bedding wasn't particularly clean and nor was the carpet. The receptionist did not speak good English and had difficulty understanding requirements.”

  • Its location was excellent. The shower was also good.
  • The bed was terrible.

“The bed was so soft that I could hardly sleep as I kept rolling into the middle of the bed. Also the TV didn't work properly.”

  • Relaxed Atmosphere, good food, comfortable bed.
  • Lack of two spare pillows (only one spare), TV picture quality poor, lack of instant chocolate drink (only one).

“Overall fine, a good hotel and excellent response when we found we had left an article behind. Called us immediately.”

  • SPACIOUS ROOM, ALL MOD CONS AND GREAT LOCATION

“out of a large group of us we were the only ones to stay at the mad hatter, and to be honest we had the best hotel, they stayed at a more expensive hotel with smaller rooms and a stuffy atmosphere and far from anything sight wise. and id definatly recomend and stay here again. excelent hotel and well worth a stay!! great food too”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] •

  • Large room. Proximity to next day meeting
  • The Bed in room 308 very uncomfortable, springs squeeky, kept me awake all night.

“Room size excellent, furnishings to a higher than average standard for a hotel of this type and price.
Restauarant was OK - although there is a no smoking area it was still little too smokey for my liking. Breakfast was good with an excellent choice from the menu's.”

  • Breakfast was not included so I cannot comment. Parking was not something I required.
  • Bar staff - one blonde foreign lady in particular. She took my colleagues and my order for drinks then proceeded to play with the telephone. The she just ran away and we were left waiting whilst other bar staff served new customers!

“I would think that the bathroom floor in room 205 should be looked at. It is soft in quite a few places and spongey. I did not like standing on it.”
