• Very clean, very comfortable. Good car parking.
• The breakfast was rather basic, but you do not have to include this when booking the hotel.

“This hotel is conveniently situated close to at least one tube station (two if you are prepared to walk a little further) which gives access to the whole of London. It is very reasonably priced for a 3-star London hotel (and it is certainly worth 3 stars”

• fantastic en-suite
• Decoration was very old fasioned

“It would have been better to of known:
What hours the restaurant and bar were open,
That you needed to book a table in the restaurant as we had to wait over an hour for a table and when one still wasnt available we had out food served to us in the bar.”

• Great hotel, great location, value for money
• Directions to hotel could be clearer.

“Great location, tube was only 5 minutes walk away (Central line trains run frequently - 25 minute journey to centre of London). Hotel was excellent value for money, couldn't really ask for more. Would stay again.”

• access into london - excellent. good car parking facilities. good value for money, clean and good staff
• disappointed unable to access rooms before 14.00 hrs. i think if rooms are available should be allowed room

“my general review of the hotel is excellent, i would definately stay again and recommend the hotel to friends. only down side was not being able to access room until middle of afternoon, this meant we had to leave bags in car and wash in pub car park facilities.”

“There was a strong smell of smoke coming into my room from the hallways. Bearing in mind the fact that i booked a 'non smoking' room...
Late night banging of doors.
But apart from that, i had a good time.”

• Ideal location, just off A40, excellent value for money
• Rooms were cold

“Overall very nice, however our stay was during a very cold period, and we set the thermostat so the room would be warm on our return, obviousley the maids must have been on a cost cutting mission because every night on return the room was freezing and the thermostat had been re-set.Would I stay there again? YES,”

• Great location relly close from the tube about 5 mins walk.
• The tea/coffee facilities could be better.

“Great place to stop the staff are really helpfull e-mailed me within an hour with helpfull directions to the hotel doorstep.Would be a good place to stop if you were flying from Heathrow only about 10 miles away.Would stay their again if we go to London.”

• Mainly cleanliness and an extremely comfortable bed! All the facilities were working which was great.

• The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were very good also.
• I was a little unhappy with the vending machine. '1.50 for a very tiny can of coke. Very expensive but the only thing I could find wrong.

“As mentioned before I enjoyed my stay very much and the accommodation was excellent. The room very good with a nice view of the gardens below. The hotel although next to a main road was set back from traffic and so noise was limited. From Check-in to Check-out the staff were extremely helpful.”

• room was warm and bathroom was very clean and new.
• no room service even for a bride and groom no special touches from newly weds. small fridge in room would be good.

“should have a bridal suite or special things put in room for arrival of newly weds. Special breakfast should be available for bride and groom. Maybe fresh flowers in the room.Hotel is overpriced at nearly '80 per night if you book as usual. Stayed in hotels at '50 per night and they all have had room service at some point or at least fridge in the rooms.”

• The Staff and accomodation of the Fox&Goose were excellent.

• good vaqlue for money and only 5 minutes walk away from tube
• we booked a double smoking room and we got a twin non smoking room

“i was dissapointed as i booked this hotel several weeks prior to my visit and the room i asked for i didnt get and all as the staff did was say 'sorry'.also i asked the receptionist about the nearest tube stations and she didnt tell me the right information.Apart from that the hotel was clean,comfortable and great value for money.i will stay at this hotel again but ill be making sure i get what i ask for”

• Staff were very friendly and excellent in terms of satisfaction.
• The bar was 'seedy' in terms of clientelle. I had my cigarettes stolen. The hairdryer in my room overheated.

“Although food in the restaurant was adequate, the service was very good. The hotel rooms were excellent. Clean, tidy and warm with a comfortable bed. TV channnel choice was good and it was quiet after 11.00pm. I had a great night's sleep.”

• clean, well presented, loved the shower, very strong.
• being woken twice in the morning by cleaner

“The hotel matched my expectations, the booking in went easily, the room was nice and clean and the facilities provided were of a high standard.
The staff were helpfull and polite.
The one downside was the cleaner opening the door twice during the morning to clean the room, yes i know thats why you leave do not disturb signs on the door :) not thought of when we got in at 3am.
thank you for making our stay a pleasant one.”

• Staff didnt know the area at all-not overly welcoming either!

“Would have liked to be informed the sub-way is not 2 ninutes walk away more like 10 and the area is very hilly!

Staff knew very little about London and the area surrounding the hotel,when asked how to get to Hamleys was told (after he had called someone else up) to get the tube to Oxford Circus and ask someone around there - not very helpful to us as we was trying to avoid looking for locals who did know the area.

No drinks machines and would have liked to know the pub was seperate from the hotel and the fact they take '100 to cover your room cost and '30 for the bar incase you have meals which would then be refunded if not - what a stupid procedure!”
