“Very efficient and genuinely friendly staff.
The buffet breakfast at 13 Euros was very good value and available weekdays from 0630 and weekends 0730.
Parking at the hotel requires a little pre planning: there is a small layby at the hotel entrance where you can park up to unload and then transfer the car 100 yards across to the opposite side of the road to the public underground car park of the Hotel de Ville. The hotel offers a reduced overnight parking rate of a few Euros which is exceptional value as the site is secured overnight. Apart from this slight inconvenience the hotel is well locate opposite the Lake and park for walking and only 200 yards from the resturant and shopping district of the old town. The hotel will organise a resturant for you if asked. We ate at the Auberge De Savoie specialising in Fish. (Closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays) The food was excellent, well presented and a very freindly place. Menus range from a 26,39 or 50 Euros with a la carte available. The wine list is comprehensive. The Chignin-Bergeron white was excellent with the red mullet wrapped in cabbage.”
