Kilarney Court Hotel is excellently located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Killarney. Our hotel has gained a great reputation for our quality service at a great price. With its three famous lakes and great mountain ranges, Killarney in County Kerry Ireland has been the inspiration of poets and painters over many centuries. Added to the beauty of the three main lakes are many other lakes in the folds of the mountains, numerous picturesque cascades and, rising to the west of the valley, the peaks of MacGillicuddy's Reeks. There are many places of interest and of historical importance to visit in Killarney, such as waterfalls, churches and monuments; the town is an excellent centre for shops and cinema and for the sporting enthusiast there is angling and water sports, golf, riding, orienteering and canoeing and much more' for the evenings there are singing pubs, banqueting, cabarets, dancing and drama. Friendly people.
Neglected and run down.

“A website said it was a 3 star hotel and is available for 65 euro per night for a single room, I felt it would be reasonable. The first room I was given was on the ground floor. It absolutely stank of stale smoke. The bedspread had numerous tears and rips over it. The wallpaper was either bubbling, stained or ripped in various places around the room. When I rang reception to see if a non-smoking room was available (Aren't all hotel rooms meant to be non-smoking now?) they moved me to the third floor but pointed out that the elevators were not working and I would need to use the stairs. When I got to the room, it was a lot better but the bedspread had cigarette burns on it. Bathroom in both rooms was lovely apart from a bit of a grotty shower curtain. Nice soaps and towels, etc. Slept very well - room was kept at a nice temperature, and it was very quiet. When I left in the morning I found that my bedroom door would not lock from the outside, so I could not have left my stuff there for the day till I returned that evening. I decided checking out was the safest move. When I asked the lady at reception if I could fill in a comment card so management knew it was not the staff's fault, she told me that there was one in the bedroom and did not offer to give me one (I assume they had one in a store cupboard!) and expected me to go back to the room to get it. Suffice to say, I did not. Breakfast was lovely, but they should have a more varied menu for the tourists; an Irish fry is quite limited and maybe a selection of bread and cold cuts would have been a nice alternative. Overall the staff was very friendly and if anything, too relaxed.”
