Our private hotel that was built in the 16th century for a clergyman of the Royal Court. It has been redesigned in the 18th and 19th century, offers a French-style landscaped park of 3,000 sq. metersThe park includes many rare species, in particular two unique centennial magnolias, a huge sycamore and, sitting imposingly and overlooking the park, a Lebanon cedar that witnessed, without a doubt, the French Revolution of 1789. wonderful ambiance, excellent breakfast, warm welcome, very central to main part of town and in a charming venue
better bed pillows needed, a full shower would be better than tub shower however, that is just a personal preference - tubs hard to climb in and out of!!!

“We had a lovely room overlooking the beautifully groomed garden and coach house. The owner welcomed us warmly and took the time to book us a very pleasant dinner at a local restaurant. It would be helpful to have directions from centre ville identified so as to make locating the hotel easy. We had a GPS but most don't. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel itself is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated. A great place to return to when we revisit Amboise - one of the loveliest towns on the Loire.”

Convenient location right in the town with parking facilities
Breakfast was a little expensive and I thought a simple continental breakfast could have been included as part of the room rate.

“I found the hotel very good for the price and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again.”
