  • The staff were friendly, the reception, bar and dining room were very nicely furnished/decorated.
  • The rooms were very noisy due to creaking floorboards. The shower was poor in 311.

“Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again. Our only dispute was when settling the bill the receptionist tried to charge us an extra -u40! Eventually this was sorted as I quoted the internet price which I was given upon booking.”

  • Friendly staff, lovely rooms, top class..
  • no bad points!

“I have stayed at Chequers previously and I am booked in again in the future, I find the whole experience refreshing, for a short leisurely break, The rooms are lovely and clean, the hotel is very quiet at night, the food is lovely and the staff are only too happy to help.”
