• Friendly, comfortable, reasonably priced.
• Not overlooking the sea, but can't have it all.

“I visited Blackpoll with my sister who is from South Africa. We both found the hotel adequate for our needs. It was a short walk from the esplanade and not far from the Tower. Chris and Steve the owners (and their Labrador) were friendly, the guys were really helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room was tastefully decorated and we had a comfortable and quiet nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing, best English that we've had in a long time. I intend to return for a couple of days with my family and would hope to stay here again.”

“Well I have been asked to write a review by Active Hotels. I had a great weekend in Blackpool and the hotel definately contributed to that its owners are really friendly and really try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and they put a great lot of effort into the running of the place which shows. I have stayed in quite a few hotels good and bad and I cant say I have any negatives to post about this place considering its price range. One of the things i liked was its fab little bar which i was in probably more than I should have been. I stayed there with my girlfirend and all the other guests were really nice aswell so there was a great atmosphere. Hope this has been helpful.”

• Freindly staff, close to seafront
• room very small, room heating only works on day of arrival, towels not changed

“I would have liked to know whether room service, as in bin emptied, towels changed, tea coffee replenished & used cups replaced was included. These are only nigly things but to come back in the evening after a long day out to find that if we had relied on them then we would have had wet towels & nothing to drink could have put a dampener on the stay”
