• Spacious room, comfortable bar area, helpful staff. Easy access to airport and city. Good breakfast.

“This will be my hotel of choice next time I am working in or near Edinburgh. Settling into a decent-sized bedroom with a comfortable bed was very welcome after a full day's work 'down south' and a late flight to Edinburgh (as was the sandwich rustled up for me by the night porter!). On day two I had an evening appointment in the city and was delighted to find I was minutes away via a frequent bus service from the bottom of the road.”

• It's location and price
• Noise in the night, curtains not working, overcharged at checkout

“There was a delivery of some sort in the middle of the night which was very noisey. The net curtains didn't work in the room. I cannot recommend staying in roon no. 15! The food was acceptable but I was overcharged by ?u8 when checking out. I had to check my booking confirmation form in the car and go back for a refund.”

• Very Clean, Well kept, Warm. Helpfull staff
• Noisy

“Were given an ajoining room, guests in the next room were very very noisy, didnt get to sleep with 2 year old daughter until 2am.
Other than that the hotel was very good.

Avoid an ajoining room to guarantee sleep”

• The setting of the hotel was ideal.

“The hotel met our every need, the staff, room and food were excellent. We looked at many hotels,but Ellersly stood out straight away.”

• Spacious and good atmosphere. Nice downstairs bar and good breakfastservice even though we were early.
• Very loud noises (rattling windows) kept us up. Very warm with the heating off.

“The atmosphere is good. Appearance of the hotel is good. Rooms are spacey.

Parking on the front is good, although with a full parking lot at the front I parked out back and didn't feel safe at all walking there alone in the dark. I would recommend to make the walk back to the hotel a bit safer (and less muddy).”

• Cheerful and helful staff! And they were there!
• -ot really a complaint but thought I had booked a king size bed. Instead had two singles. No worries. I slept like a log.
