• Location to city - not too close; not to far away
• Distance of room from lift - placed in smoking room when non-smoking requested - fire alarm going off at 7am - noisey pipework of adajcent rooms sounding like a Harrier Jumpjet taking off!

“Reasonably clean hotel but considering the lack of tv channels and for cost (and additional cost for breakfast which I was under the impression was included) I would've rather stayed in a travelodge!

Health club Ok though!”

• it was clean and very well priced. all that was required
• very creaky floorboards in corridors. food in restaurant was plain but o.k. i suppose.

• Central enough to Edinburgh centre and a lot cheaper. Nice bar and restraunt.
• Felt the room was very basic, bed could have been better.

“I would stay here again but hopefully in a nicer room. The bar was quite expensive so might give that a miss next time. Staff were friendly and helpful which i like.”

• Friendly, smiling and informative staff.

“I was very disappointed in this hotel overall. I deemed the rate excessive - I know August is the best month for accommodation in Edinburgh if you are the owner - but fleecing people is another thing. This is not value for money. The staff were extremely polite, smiling and informative but attention to detail, in a hotel of this quality, should be reviewed on a regular basis.”
