  • Convenient location, clean bed.
  • The noise and inadequate bathroom.

“Great location for Oxford centre. However, so noisy outside that we hardly had any sleep. As the nightlife faded the street cleaners came out! Also the hanging sign, right outside our room, creaked constantly in the wind. 3 of us in a triple room but, only 2 bath towels in bathroom. Linen clean, room ok but, bathroom in dire need of upgrade - shower tray filled almost to brim after a shower and took ages to drain so with 3 of us it was not good!”

  • Good value for money and good central location in Oxford
  • Room was a bit draughty and leaving at 7:30 meant missing breakfast (8-10am)

“Overall an enjoyable experience. Nice, clean room with tea making facilities, sink and TV. On the top floor (rm 11) meant lots of stairs but relativly little night-time noise. I was not able to make breakfast though, as I left every morning before 7:30 and breakfast was 8 till 10am. Hotel's own night-time entrance on George street made coming and going very easy - ideal for socialising in the centre of the city and coming back late!”

  • Great Breakfast
  • Hotel could have been a bit cleaner; particularly the showers.

“The Eurobar CafT in Oxford, England is a typical small European hotel. It has a good central location and the breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was the shower area could have been a bit cleaner. The location, breakfast, and price make it a relatively good value.”

  • Very handy for central oxford
  • Exceedingly noisy.

“Very noisy, with busses starting up at 6.15 next door, but for the price OK for a heavy sleeper.”

  • warm, clean, convenient
  • tv didn't work (we didn't complain)

“The hotel is in the heart of Oxford, not as expensive as most, older, the room large and confortable but not posh.”

  • Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good location, good price, good breakfast. Nothing phoney or artificial.

“The hotel was well located for my needs. Accomodation was simple but comfortable. I am among very many people who like an old-fashioned feel about a hotel.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] •

  • Good Breakfast, clean and tidy, good atmosphere in the bar
  • A little basic, staff were a bit distant, a lot of outside noise, but good value for money overall.

“A good little place to stay if you are on a tight budget, reminds me a bit of a blackpool guest house, vey steep stairs, but the hotel does everything it says it does and no complaints other than the noise from the busy bus station at the rear of the hotel.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] •

  • good location- easy to find, close to the centre. fast breakfast service
  • had to shower on a different level and main lights in bedroom weren't working. Noisy at night- drunks in bus station.

“This hotel was reasonable value for money. the central location made for easy access to the sights etc. Being next to the bus station left you with the feeling of undesirable characters about the place and we were worried about security of our car parked overbight in a oublic unsecure carpark. The room was pleasant, not ensuite but the toilet was nearby on the landing although the shower was out of order and we had to wash on the next level down. staff
