• Good location, easy walking distance to town.
• Poor service by the staff.

“What a shame...with a redecorate and staff that know something about wine and the attractions in oxford, oh and room service arriving when asked for and an edible breakfast, this could be a great hotel. Walking distance to town but really its staff let it down badly.”

• This was a truly enjoyable experience. The room, staff, and breakfast were clearly above most UK standards. I highly recommend this hotel.

“I wonderful stay in a wonderful town! I required taxi service on a moment's notice, and it was handled with ease. Breakfast was complete and the service was excellent. The desk staff was always friendly and helpful.”

• It was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel building interior was lovely. Also, the location of the hotel was very good, it only took 15 minutes walk to reach the town.
• The room could have been slightly bigger!

“I wish I knew my stay in the hotel could be so relaxing! The staff was very friendly, the hotel had an excellent location, and the atmosphere in the hotel allowed me to prepare well for the job interview I was attending.”

• Comfortable and clean and in close proximity to city
• Restaurant menu, same every night, hotel more appropriate for 1or2 nights or B+B only

“Hotel location suited our purposes to fulfil engagements in Oxford, being within walking distance and on a frequent bus route. It was comfortable, with very helpful staff. We would have liked to have known in advance that the main guests would be groups, families and individuals who were staying for just the one night. Some nights we were the only people dining in the restaurant. The Hotel therefore lacked atmosphere.”
