“Fantastic location in the beautiful city of Oxford. Close to town centre, parking on site. Obtained excellent price through booking with 'active hotels', so easy to book. Hotel, excellent, would not wish to change anything, facilities very new and clean, staff most helpful and very friendly. Brilliant Thank you”

“This is a lovely building with a great location yet would benefit from a major make over both in terms of the fittings and decor (noisy pipes very entertaining but not what I expect when I pay this price for a room ) and the stale smells mixed with cleaning products and smoke that waft around the corridors. Why was a 'put me up bed' complete with unchanged streets just sitting on a landing?We would have liked clearer instructions about how to arrive at the hotel from the motorway. I rang the hotel the day before to check on car parking (this could not be achieved through the online system), no one indicated it was so hard to reach, it took us over an hour to find the hotel.
The front of house staff were unprofessional (lacking in basic communication skills), not vey clear with their instructions, this created confusion amongst the two other couples and ourselves who were attempting to check in. They also had some in jokes between them which they laughed at- not very slick or welcoming.”

“Overall I have no complaints about the hotel. I found the staff to be friendly and accomodating. I think there should have been more towels in the bathroom but we forgot to ask for more towels and they would have been provided if we asked.”
