• The hotel & staff were very good; breakfasts were interesting too.
• Hotel was above a nightclub which was very noisy in the early hours of the morning when people left.

• The room was adequate for a single night stay, but it would not have been pleasant staying longer. The only plus is central location.

“The reception desk is up a staircase from the street - I found it difficult dragging heavy luggage up. The hotel shuts at 8 pm, though you are given an external key. Breakfast is in a cafe across the street: you get orange juice in a cardboard cup, coffee in ditto, and a baguette in a paper bag - no plates or cutlery and only a high stool to sit on. There are no public spaces in the hotel. Although the room was adequate for a single night stay, the whole experience would become pretty miserable if one was staying two days or longer. Amazingly, the hotel is graded four diamonds - I would give it two stars.”

• Hotel was pretty new and clean and very well located.
• It was a pretty small room, although probably because it was a well located hotel

“Hotel did not have elevator and we got the room in the last floor. Since we have a one year old daughter, that was not very convenient.
Stay was good. Again, the size of the room and the size of beds was the worst part. I think I can recommend this hotel to singles and couples but not to families, at least, in a twin room.”

“Difficulty in parking, no facility is available in Oxford for parking for more than 24 hours and even that is out of town at the Park and Ride.

A detailed instruction on how to reach the hotel would have been appreciated, all our friends had difficulty parking and then finding this hotel”

• lack of guest info in room charges for freephone number

“should be warned about lack of parking (there is no nearby parking that allows a 24hour stay and anything other than 6:30pm to 8am is expensive)

• Central location
• Dirty sheets. Noise from the disco/nightclub. No help with luggage. Very sparse room. General run-down feeling to the whole place.

“I was very unhappy with the accomodation overall and expected a higher quality accomodation for 75 pounds per night. The noise from the disco was very annoying. The room looked very worn and sparse, the sheets on the bed has hairs on them. The pillows were very flat and the mattress hard.”

• convenient location, room service breakfast, good security
• inadequate staff to help, especially carrying heavy luggage up the stairs, in a hotel without any elevator; room too small and excessive noises from the chimneys from a restaurant at ground floor of hotel
