The Murat Hotel is alos close to Roland Garros' tennis courts and the exhibitions centre of Versailles.The hotel is in the 16th district of Paris, a charming and cheerful area close to the River Seine. There is good public transport close to the hotel. Built in 1850, this is a traditional Parisian 'Haussman' style building. The lobby is open plan with the lounge and seating area. M. Murat was a famous soldier serving the Emperor Napoleon and the decor of the public areas is in keeping with this theme. The impressive wood panelled walls, carved furniture and huge frescos portraying epic battles, capture the mood of the whole period. The rooms are in good condition.
