“Good location for what we needed , but the room was very small and crasmped , I felt like this was the reason why we were offered a cheap deal !!!”

• Friendly staff - superb food in restaurant - very pleasant waiter/waitress - very clean spacious room
• Nothing really -

“Only a one night stay but very relaxed. As mentioned above, restaurant was excellent even though it was a quiet time of the year without many diners.
Hotel Meurice is a touch faded grandeur but this does not detract from the quality of the welcome.
My 4 friends had not stayed here before but all said that they would stay here again, and recommend it to others”

• Location, staff, room

“Old-style family-run hotel with friendly english-speaking staff. Our 'Grand Standing' room was excellent as were the hotel facilities. However, we felt that the buffet breakfast could have been better. We would happily stay there again. Conveniently located only ten minutes drive from the tunnel and five minutes walk from the centre of Calais.”

• Beautiful furnishings, helpful staff, and fabulous evening meal.
• Lack of a shower curtain. Lack of room fan or airconditioning.

“The evening meal in the restaurant was one of the best we had during our two week stay in France. The rooms were very clean but a little smaller than we expected.

The staff was most courteous and helpful. This was very important since I speak very little French.

The antique furnishings were lovely. We would stay at this hotel again.”
