It is situated in the centre of this quaint English village, making it an ideal situation to explore all that the area has to offer. Dunster is an extremely picturesque village with a great deal of history attached to it, some of the attractions include the Castle, Water Mill, the Priory Church, the village gardens and the adjacent Yarn Market. The village has many shops with local artefacts and traditional fayre. There are also a wide range of restaurants and cafes so you won't go hungry. Dunster is also the gateway to The Exmoor National Park which provides an array of entertainment, including unlimited walking and photographic opportunities. Exmoor is a paradise for anyone who loves outdoor pursuits, horse riding, fishing, and the great outdoors. Safari's and steam boat trips are often available to explore this fascinating area. Dunster Beach is about a mile away which makes this hotel perfect for beach lovers and boating enthusiasts for the exploration of the surrounding coastline of West Somerset and North Devon. The hotel itself has a variety of amenities to ensure that your holiday or short break is enjoyed to the full. All rooms offer en suite bathroom and toilet, a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, central heating and some rooms have a four poster bed for that special occasion. There are also splendid views of the Castle, Yarn Market and Priory Church together with the hills beyond. We have a comfortable visitors lounge and all food is home cooked in the traditional manner. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. Packed lunches and ironing/drying facilities are available on request. Our elegant restaurant offers a wide range of speciality and traditional English Fayre, accompanied by fine wines from our extensive selection. We have a visitors telephone and there is off street car parking. Children of any age are most welcome and if you don't want to leave your dog at home, you can bring him/her along with you by prior arrangement. We are open all year round including Christmas and New Year. We are a completely non-smoking Hotel. A very leasant Hotel very clean and well run. An excellentposition in Dunster High Street
The reception area probably could look more appealing and the Room entertainmnt should be upgraded.
“The general experience was extreemly good, the booking arrangemnets worked well and the hotel was what I would have expected. My only observation is that I did not rteceive confirmation of the booking from the Hotel which I would have normally expected to see.”

The staff were very friendly
The windows rattled all night and kept us awake,if I used my head I could have jammed some paper in them to stop them rattling,ah well I,ll put it down to experience
“We found it to be a very clean and friendly Hotel,everything worked eg: TV,Kettle etc,we had a meal there and it was very nice and the service was excellent.I didnt realise that we had booked bed and breakfast,we thought it was room only so we missed out on that ,never mind every thing else was just fine.”
