• room, staff, food, location, parking, separate tub and shower,free local and 800 calls
• a bit of wallpaper was detaching in bathroom

“The owners and staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The setting in a small English village in a wonderful experience. The food service was excellent although the portions were too large for our tastes. There is also an excellent pub/restaura”

• Pleasant situation which was local for our requirements.
• Very small en-suite room. 4 items not available on dinner menu.

“Bedroom only adequate for overnight stay.
Lounge area of hotel very pleasant as was the village of Montacute.
Breakfast excellent with wide choice
Would recommend with reservations.”

• Genuinely friendly staff who were always attentive, great atmosphere, a real home from home.

“Excellent friendly rural location in an idyllic location. Food was superb and generous. Friendly staff who catered to your every whim!
Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this to everyone”

• Excellent Breakfasts, lovely setting, a nice cosy atmosphere, first class service
• One evening meal not up to standard (possibly due to 2 private parties being catered for)

“Generally no complaints. We chose this hotel on the basis of other reviews on the web site, and certainly were not disappointed”

• lovely room & good food
• The bath shower attachment didn't work (The separate shower was fine)

• good food & wine, traditional atmosphear, helpful staff. Other guests friendly, though this is unpredictable and not the hotel's fault!

“Good food wine and helpful friendly staff. Comfortable and adequate, if in some areas basic, facilities, but this after all in U.K. is traditional. I would stay again if in the area.”
