  • High standard of room with extras like water and the bathroom toiletries were apreciated.
  • There was nothing I didn't like about the accommodation.

“From arriving at the hotel the whole experience was very good. My room was overlooking the high street which was nice to look at when you opened the curtains.

You are not far from Kenilworth Castle if you are looking for things to do whist staying at the hotel.

I was there on business so didn't have much time to explore.

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help.”

  • very clean
  • Situation of room, very windy that weekend and the windows were edged with tape!!! There was not controler for the tv and there was holes in the net curtains.

“I would stay here again, the staff are friendly and the general keep of the hotel is too a high standard. The breakfast in the moring was exellent and there was a great variety of food.”

  • Spacious, comfortable room.
  • Bar ran out of standard drinks such as draft beer and wine. Staff slow and inexperienced.

“In general the room was comfortable and clean. The purpose of my visit was to attend a 50th birthday celebration. However, the bar did not have supplies of bitter, Guiness or wine - which the majority of people in our party wanted to drink. Guests resorted to visiting a local off-licence to purchase drinks. Bar Staff tried their best, but were inexperienced and therefore provided slow service. For most of the evening, one poor young girl was left to serve the whole party alone. The meal provided was generally of reasonable standard. A nice looking hotel, but appeared to be poorly managed.”

  • Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.
  • I had to change rooms because of a leak, but was actually allocated a room that had already been identifed as unuseable. The room had also been used (eg the two glasses had water in them).

“The room I was upgraded to was described as an executive room. However, the room (319 I think) suffered from a loud noise caused by water in pipes. This disturbed my sleep quite considerably, but it was too late to request another change of room.”

  • Cheerful and polite staff at reception. Excellent service in restaurant and bar.
  • Room badly laid out. Kettle broken.Breakfast, food and plates cold. Sunday Mail ordered but not delivered.

“Hotel easy to find and handy for our christening.Easy to park.
Staff all excellent, friendly and responsive.
Thought drinks very pricey in bar!
Hard to move around room, bed should have been on end wall.
Room not very clean, window catches broken, kettle not working, toilet roll holder loose, dust on skirtings and windows.
had requested high floor, nice view, were on 2nd floor with view over bins.
Food at breakfast, we were first in on both mornings, was excellently cooked, but less than lukewarm, put on cold plates. too many eggs pre-fried, therefore cold and congealing. Such a shame because it was good quality food.”

  • The room was clean, it was quiet and comfortable and had everything required.
  • The hotel generally has a tired feel to it both external and internal redecoration is overdue. But its kept clean.

“Overall I think I received value for money, my stay was absolutely fine the hotel restaurant evening food was very good as was breakfast.
All the staff and manager were very friendly and helpful.
The bar food sandwich I had was a bit low class for want of a better description.
Overall I would say this hotel was let down by its lack of updating - it just feels old - it needs a lick of paint out and in. This would stop me recommending it cause these impressions of a building are what people remember even though the staff were very good. I would stay here again though overnight on business cause it suits my needs for location, and price is ok.”
