• The hotel is a lovely building that maintains the old character with modern amenities.
• Contemporary fixtures didn't fit the character of the building

“The hotel was set in lovely grounds, the staff were amenable and friendly. The room was excellent, clean and well presented. The evening meal was very good and reasonable value. In all a very pleasant stay and we will return in the future.”

• The ambience was excellent. The peace and tranquility was exactly what I imagined it would be
• Great bathroom and shower. Liked the olde worlde decor

“Great stay loved the grounds. The finished product/landscaping will lose some of the appeal/character. Did not know until very late in the stay that we could have obtained a key to the church from reception. Having a table by the fire at dinner was a nice touch. Loved the nice big comfy sofas in the lounge,it was all just right for a relaxing few days. Would have liked hotel info - breakfast times etc in a folder in the room. There was nothing. Overall realy enjoyed the stay.”

• Superb building

“Sadly the suite we had booked and originally been shown had not been made up, so we were moved to a different room that was large and comfortable but in the attic, with velux windows (hence no view) and no curtains. Would have been grim in heavy rain or in summer with the light coming in at 4am. Disapponting having seen the room that was so much nicer.

Bearing in mind we were the only people staying in the hotel, this was frankly sloppy. But the staff seemed perfectly happy to have us dine and breakfast in splendid isolation.... they were all really helpful and the setting is fantastic.

We'll be back.”

• Great leisure facilities, wonderful location and venue, very nice gardens.
• unfortunately not well sign posted within the building but it's not that bad.

“Apart from following the sign for wroxall village and missing the hotel completely (our error, its on the main road) was a wonderful stay, a very nice building with lots of history and character, the leisure facilities are top notch. the room was very well featured and had a gorgeous bed.

The lack of signposting inside the abbey is a little unfortunate when you first arrive but once you find where places are its not so bad, the excellent rates and fact its so nice far outweigh this small niggle.”
