“Definitely not recommendable. These are the reasons why: the good: 1) breakfast was alright. the bad: 1) had bad booking issues; 2) gave me a dirty, messy room; 3) some lights didn't work in the bedroom; 4) only 4 TV channels available; 5) phones were down several times, so I couldn't call nor receive calls (during my *business* trip); 6) very, very noisy fan in the toilet; 7) I came back one afternoon and my bedroom door was open (cleaning staff just forgot to close it); 8) I had to wait up to ten minutes, several times, for hot water to take a shower; 9) dreadful, dreadful mattress; 10) part of the staff was most unfriendly.”

“Great breakfast but poor room as very dirty toilet, dirty cups, all 4 pillows with huge horrible stains on them and the bed was right under the window and a bad draft was comming down on to our heads.”

“I arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm, I have to mwait for 1 1/2 hours before I can check in. I suggest, be flexible with the time for check in, may be at 1.00pm.”

“The room that I booked ie 128 is away from hagley road and very quiet. However, the lift when reching the third floor makes the whole hotel vibrate. Mentioned this to reception and there answer was its an old lift!! I think they should be made aware of this problem and try and get it sorted”

“the service received in the restauarant was second to none. we would be prepared to return if these standards remain and put up with the room standard. A point worth knowing, if you are an orange mobile phone user, this hotel is a blind spot.”

“Radiator thermostat did not work properly (loose), hence too warm. Tv could do with a lower shelf by about 2ft. Loose tiles to roofspace (under renovation?)
Salad with meal a bit bland and ploughmans supper like, could do with better leaves etc and not pepper and Iceburg.”

“The Hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, only downside was room size, if you needed it for anything other than sleeping it was slightly small, but that's been over critical. I will use the hotel again.”

“On arrival we were allocated room 126. On entering the room it reeked of cigarette smoke, even though there was a no smoking notice there. However the receptionist readily changed our room which we found pleasant and clean. It is hard to prevent guests from smoking in rooms and it is down to their ignorance and selfishness that our first room was so bad.”
