• Very helpful staff.
• Buffet breakfast.

“Being a regular business traveler to Swindon. I was looking for a place to relax in the evenings. I have now stayed at The Lodge on 6 occasions and have never had a bad experience yet. I previously stayed at a nearby Hotel all last year, and wish that I had found the Lodge earlier. The only reason I booked here was I couldn't get in at the other Hotel, but I don't look anywhere else now. A pleasant, clean, quiet and relaxing place to stay after a days work.”

• very comfortable,excellant value for money,

“very good value for money accomodation,which was very comfortable with polite and helpfull staff. my father stayed in one of the new disabled rooms which was to a high standard especially with a wet room shower, but could do with a a handrail shower seat ”

“All staff friendly and helpful. I found the hotel quiet and peaceful with good leisure facilities beyond its size. The sports memorabilia and book cases around the hotel made the stay more interesting compared to a 'chain' hotel.Larger rooms than a Trave”

• Lots of attention to detail. The little things say so much.

“Enjoyed discount on the round of golf we recieved as part of our stay. Bar meals good quality and reasonable. All the staff very helpful and friendly.”

• Simple but comfortable clean modern hotel with good pool/spa facilities and friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely but limited.

• Fresh, clean, warm and reasonably modern. Particularly liked the use of the gym
• Initially, the requirement to pay for the gym, however after some negotiation this was dropped.

“Having to stay over on business on a regular basis, myself and my colleague have been looking to change our regular hotel and in particular were interested in your gym facility.

The location is fine as we need to move around Swindon, Chippenham and Bristol. The rooms are fine, as detailed above and the staff were extremely helpful, particularly as there was a minor hiccough when we checked in.

We almost re-considered when we were asked to pay '5 each to use the gym but this was waived after some discussion.

In conclusion, we are very happy to stay at your facility on a regular basis and to enjoy use of the gym (free) and will be looking to arrange a credit/invoice facility for CSM consulting in the future.”

• The room was large, well-furnished and clean. Hotel well-situated. Staff helpful
• Restaurant food tended to be overcooked. Long delay waiting for breakfast

“Overall this was a very pleasant stay. Some noise from the M4 on the car park side of the hotel and work on a building extension made for a crowded car park. The restaurant is pleasant and the food could be very good if given a little more care”

• Functional hotel with access to good leisure facilities. Lots of sporting memorabilia on the walls to look at, lots of books to browse.
• Use of gym was extra '5 (although swimming pool was free). No ironing facilities in the room.

“Nice country location. Although its very near a RAF airbase so expect jets and transport planes flying very low over head, although I didn't hear any in the middle of the night, great if you're into planes. Combined with a Golf club and bar and dinning area was used by club members but very quite on the Monday I stayed. Overall fine for the business stop over I required. Probably a bit basic for the cost but not to bad. Food was to a good standard.”

• not a bad point but i drove straight past the entrance afew times as it was not well lit!

• Very comfortable, spacious brand new rooms.
• The only bad thing was the sausages at breakfast, those really cheap poor quality ones. Otherwise it was fine and nice staff.

• Friendly Staff, Excellent breakfast, Great location-good views over the golf course, Well back off the road so it was quiet - good nights sleep, ample car parking, Great leisure facilities.
• Could have done with a better sign by the road as we initially drove past it.

The Hotel is well back off the road so it was quiet (No road noise)- enabling a good nights sleep. The car parking had ample spaces. Great leisure facilities, with a good size pool (Jacuzzi, Steam Rm, Sauna, Gym & Pool). Excellent breakfast.”

• Overshot the entrance to the lodge, due to inadequate road signage.

“Very well run accommodation, when the entrance is found. Warning roadside signs would be helpful for motorists travelling from the Wootton Bassett direction”
