• A clean comfortable hotel, with impressive character.Well positioned for the attractions of the city.

“The hotel is an old building with impressive architectural features, tastefully decorated within keeping of its characters. Very clean, comfortable with all the in room conveniances and services of a modern type hotel.
An excellent base for an overnight”

• Rooms are excellent and very home like.
• They were having a problem with the door keys and I had to go back to receptions many times before they got it fixed. Very helpful though in trying to help me.

“The hotel itself is very hard to find if you don't already know where it is. If you can believe this, it does not have any out door signs. Make sure you get exact directions on how to find it. Once you do, you will not be disappointed in the staff and hotel, they do an excellent job. If you do experience a problem, they are quick to make it right and also make it up to you.”

• The level of service from staff both at the hotel and with Active was very good.
• Having first made the reservation with Active I was disturbed to learn that the hotel had not taken the reservation in my name. Upon arrival I was a little dissappointed that the room we had been reserved was better suited to a single person

“Would stay again but not until I could confirm more details about the room that had been reserved for me.”

• It was an interesting room, albeit a little small.

“I'd have liked to have known the Hotel was on a one way system and that you didn't have any parking. Upon check-in I was directed to the Leeds station car park by the concierge (who was very courteous). I was a little surprised upon check out to be told by the receptionist that you do not have a discount with the car park you are directing your patrons to, as '20 to park your car in Leeds overnight is a little steep. It would have been useful to be told this before parking in the place I was directed to, as there are cheaper options in Leeds, even if you have a marginally longer walk back to the hotel.”
