“We stayed at Misiones for a week in early May. This was our 3rd trip to Cabo and our 2nd time at this resort. The first time at the resort in 2006 we went with another couple and rented a newly remodeled 2 bedroom from a private owner. This time my wife and I went alone and rented a one bedroom unit, again from a private owner that we found on the internet. The condo was completely remodeled, had new furniture and new appliances. It also had an internet line and a Vonage phone system. Unlike renting from the hotel, we knew exactly which unit we were getting and there were no surprises. Since the owner sent us keys, we did not need to deal with the front desk and we had the property manager's phone number in case there were any problems (and there weren't). We cooked most of our meals at the condo and did not go to the restaurant. We did hang out at the pool bar a couple of days and bought drinks and tacos. The food was good and the prices were average. The clientele at this resort seemed more mature and there were not many children, which we appreciated. There is no longer a mini mart at the resort, but there is a small grocery store and a Costco nearby. The resort is well maintained and nicely landscaped. Our condo had a washer and dryer for us to use, so we did not need to deal with resort maids. Taxis into town are expensive ($15 each way) so we recommend renting a car.”

“This place is garbage. The view of the arch is wonderful but seriously, don't stay here. The restaurant served us old gross meat and we were the only people there--red flag! The second pool had stryo cups and leaves floating in it and there was no t.v. or radio. The kitchen appliances were a joke--only one burner on the stove worked and my husband had to "jimmy" the oven to get it to work. The beach--was a rocky hole. You could not swim at the beach because of the rocks. Bottom line, if you are spending the money to go to Cabo, stay somewhere else. .”

“This property is a condo development that must have fallen victim to the economic fallout of 2001. It is rundown, dirty and dusty. It had no power when I arrived. The bed stank, blankets and bedcover had stains and cigarette burns and the facilites were very poor. IF lucky it may make a 2 star rating. I left even though I had prepaid my stay. Very unhappy”

“Property run down and not well maintained. Many, Many dead bugs in the bathroom shower and bathtub. Large live cockroaches in the rooms. Out dated furniture. Would rate this hotes at 2 stars. Nice patios, although the outdoor jacuzzi has dead bugs in it as well. It appears the property used to be nice, but has not been kept up.”

“The staff is very friendly. The condo portion of the property is run down and out dated. The bathroom, ie shower, bathtub are full of small dead bugs. The outdoor jacuzzi tub is the same way. The furniture is old. This property appears to have been nice at one time, but I would not recommend nor stay there again.”

“I would not recommend staying at this resort. To get into Cabo it costs $15 each way. The room was in need of upgrading. The sinks were clogged and smelled bad. The refrigerator barely worked, there were cockroaches in the unit. The bed was about a foot too short and was hard as a rock.”

“One of the older condo resorts in Cabo, about a 10 minute drive from the main town. The resort has a shuttle several times during the day to and from town, although in the evening you need to catch a cab (several cabs typically wait at the hotel). Gorgeous views, and nice units -- very livable. More rustic than posh (ceramic tile bathrooms rather than marble or granite, for example). Restaurant has a great view of the arch, but a somewhat limited menu. We'd happily stay there again -- we thought it was a good value.”

“Beutiful views of the Arch and Sunset. Rooms were spacious and clean. This was more of a Condo atmosphere. Staff was friendly but small.”

“It was overall a decent hotel. Going to timeshare presentation was pushed pretty hard. This hotel is great for people that are not looking for luxury but want a nice place to stay in a beautiful location for a great price. ”

“This is not a 4 star hotel and should be downgraded. We stayed at the Westin the day after and that is definitely a four star hotel and La Missionies is not. ”

“If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing facility, Hotel Misiones Del Cabo is the place to stay. Please note they began a construction project (addition to their hotel) that was stopped two (2) years ago and never completed because lack of funds. It was pointed out the facility is to be sold in June/July of 2005 and the completion of the construction is to begin shortly after the sale. I would not want to stay there during the completion of the construction project.”

“Located on a cliff with wonderful views of the Sea of Cortez and Cabot San Lucas. Two nice pools with swim up bars. Very convenient location to Cabot San Lucas. Friendly, helpful staff who was able to give good advice on local restaurants, fishing and activities.”

“This hotel does not even come close to a 4 star. It was absolutely disgusting. I didn't want to touch the floor without shoes. We had roaches in our bathroom, ants in the kitchen, dirty sheets with holes and hairballs stuck to the walls. ”

“Overall this was a nice hotel for the price. I would say that it was a 3 to 3.5 star hotel, not the 4+ that it was rated. Great views of the arch (from our room) and cabo. Staff was very helpful with directions and other things. I would recommend this hotel for the price and would stay at it again.”

“The Misiones Del Cabo Resort location is ideal if you want to be near a safe swimming beach which is rare in Cabo; although the water is brisk unless it is summertime. Also one should be aware of the strong presence of sea urchins-- stay away from rocks. Be sure to check your hot water upon check in. It took me three days to get proper attention, " my room had no hot water!!!" On the third day I made a huge scene and told them of the review I would be giving them and so we were told to move to a nice fourth floor room, which we had to carry are own stuff up four flights. The resturaunt is way over priced and Cost Co is a good idea (across the way if you are staying more than a week.) I would not stay here again, but the ocean is nice here.”

“This is a nice complex with 2 pools and a hot tub. All the rooms I saw were condo type rooms with kitchens. However, I think 4 stars is over rating this property. The buildings are quite old and showing wear and there is a stalled high rise construction project in the middle of the complex. I would rate it as 3 stars.”
