“My stay at the Torrey Pines was too short. The most important feature for me is cleanliness. My room was very, very clean. The room was dark and quiet for a solid night's sleep. It was a larger than an average room. I was a 15-minute drive from the beach and shops. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“Nice hotel, good location only downer was that they charge you $20 per day to park and there is no other option.”

“The hotel was lovely, pool great, service good. This was listed as a beach location hotel, which it is not. It caters to golfers, which we are not.”

“Very nice Hilton, beautiful blue water views of the Pacific from nearly every room. Directly adjacent to Torrey Pines golf course. It is a short walk to the starter, or the Hilton will give you a ride in a golf cart. Perfect place to stay if you are golfing at Torrey Pines.”

“Great hotel, great location, close to beaches but you'll definitely need a car to get around as it is a little off the beaten track, which is kinda nice. Staff were friendly and attentive.”

“This hotel is not a 4 * hotel. I have stayed in lots of 4* hotels and this one was far from being 4*. I am not a golfer, so maybe that is how this hotel got its rating. If you plan to stay at this hotel, being short is beneficial. The ceilings are very low. The hallways to your rooms are very dark and also have very low ceilings. I am 5'8" and I could touch the ceiling by raising my arms above my head. The room was ok, but nothing to be impressed with. Although they claim to have a refrigerator in the room, you are unable to put anything of your own in it because the fridge mini bar is fully stocked. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows way tooo soft. The pool area was ok, but there is no bathroom located around the pool! There are showers by the pool however. I was very unhappy, when I had to search for a bathroom with my two children dripping wet inside the hotel. The 2 bathrooms that we did find were in the workout area, that was filled with people working out or in the area that was holding a wedding reception. I refused to walk my children through the wedding reception and was not walking dripping wet through the gym, so my children peed in the bushes!!! Seriously they should have planned this better!!! I don't understand how this hotel is claimed to be a coastal hotel, when you can not see the coast from the hotel.”

“The hotel was perfect for us. It was with my wife and I and we were looking to go to the beach and just take in a Padres game. We really enjoyed the room and all the amenities the hotel had to offer. You had to pay to park but with the discount we got through Priceline I don't mind it. We look forward to more vacations in the future using Priceline.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is right by Torrey Pines State Park, which is absolutely beautiful. It was a short run or walk from the hotel, and then several miles of trails that led down to the ocean. The hotel staff was excellent - very friendly and extremely helpful. Only complaint was the stale, dirty smell of our pillows (not the pillow cases, but the actual pillow).”

“Great location in La Jolla, right on the golf course. With an easy walk to the trails, which I highly recommend to take! Great exercise with rewarding views.”

“Located in the prestigious La Jolla area, this hotel is in a somewhat odd industrial/business location. Rooms are comfortable and typical of most Hiltons. But because of the area, the 'snot' factor is evident in staff attitudes. The $25 valet parking fee is ridiculous (considering that they just move your car a few feet). Some view of the ocean is nice. Overall acceptable but not outstanding.”

“The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms were angled so as there were no really good views, the staff was very friendly, and the bar would be a great place for a
meeting as there was
no alcohol in our drinks.”

“Beautiful location and setting, staff has poor attitude and is very intrusive, housekeeping constantly knocking on the door day of check out, the stay started very nice but was tarnished by the staff great pricing and over-all worth the gamble with the staff.”

“Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. It was easy to get to and near the interstate, which made accessing all of San Diego very easy. The pool and hot tub area were excellent, as well as the fitness room. One down side is that you had to pay for internet access and parking.”

“Terrible. The worst placed and situated hotel I have ever been to. I have been around the world and this was by far the strangest hotel I've ever seen.”

“Overall, for the value, it was excellent. Although the room is a little outdated, the nice, crisp beddings and the flat screen TV makes it extremely comfortable, elegant and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this hotel.”
