“Liked the location, the Quality overall was great. Did not like the smaller room and did not like the huge bar in the lobby with a lot of businessmen drinking....Did not feel like a family atmosphere at all and made my wife and me feel uncomfortable. Staff was excellent and super nice and helpful.”

“We loved the pool and gym facilities. The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip and the staff did so much for us to make it a great vacation. We would certainly enjoy staying in this hotel again. We loved that there were a lot of families staying at the hotel.”

“Nice hotel but not close to the beaches and no easy transportation from this hotel to any of the area hot spots. The room was fine but nothing special. Very comfortable bed. Poolside was OK but not very fancy. An outdoor area with Wi-Fi would be nice so you could work in the great San Diego climate.”

“Our stay at La Jolla Marriott was very nice. We simply needed an overnight stay, and we arrived at 10:30 PM, so the stay was very short. Even so, the beds were comfortable, the room was exceptionally clean, and the views weren't bad. Overall, I was very happy. I believe that the star level for this hotel was 3.5, but my guess is that would be based on location alone. The hotel itself is a 4 star.”

“We found the overall experience to be excellent. We were able to check-in early and made it much easier to do the things we wanted to do in the area without having to worry about the check-in for later. The customer service was remarkable. The clerk stated they wanted to encourage us to stay with them again. I reserved 2 rooms, our friends felt equally pampered.”

“The location of this hotel was good. Its close to the beach, zoo, sea world. But the service was just awful. It was unexpected for a Marriott. We asked for extra towel since we were traveling with small kids and the service person said they will bring it right up, 3 days later still no extra towel. The food at this hotel was awful and way way over priced. The night room service was bad but the morning guy was really courteous.”

“A great hotel, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The indoor and outdoor pool were very refreshing and the workout facility was top notch! The lobby is very attractive and the room was very clean and comfortable! We also liked the small balcony on our room, although it was too narrow to place a chair on. Overall this was a very nice, decent hotel, with very friendly staff, and far exceeded the level of what we paid for thanks to priceline.com.”
