“Given the high hotel room prices in Zurich, this was a good hotel for the money.”

“The hotel is marketed as a city center hotel - it is not in the city center strictly speaking. The rooms were very tiny even for European conditions and had very few amenities: e.g. No air conditioning. Noisy too.”

“They stated that the rooms they were given were horribly noisy and lit up. I assume they save these horrible rooms for tourist that book through discount websites. The room I received was a tiny room right next to the stairs and facing the front of the hotel. The room looked really nice until you opened the windows for circulation (no ac). When the sun went down the room was flooded with light from the flood lights facing the sign on the front of the hotel.”

“This was a very nice hotel, although a little offs the beaten path. It did however have easy access to the city center via the easy to use Zurich tram system.”

“OK but not 4 star and not centrally located as requested.”

“Hotel was clean and served its purpose of a place to sleep for the night. No good restaurants in the area.”

“Too far away from downtown Zurich, lake and main train station. Tram outside of hotel so that was convenient but if you want to stay in downtown Zurich this is not the hotel. It is not a 4 star either so I would never pay the 350 CHF they claim to ask for per room so I was glad I got the good price. Not happy and when I saw how far out the hotel was I wished I had spend 30CHF more and stayed in the city center.”

“Not in the best location. Really out of the main part of town. People not friendly at front desk. Bathroom did not have any shampoo and towels very thin.”

“Nice place quiet neighborhood, but not 4 stars and out of the way.. a mostly quick ride to the tram, but you had to use the tram to get to the city”

“I was greatly disappointed with the very small room I got. It was clear to me that I was offered a single room with two pillows and two sets of towels. The internet connection in the room did not work and the hotel staff were not willing to do anything about it, even though it had a high priority to me!”

“ Fair price for this hotel. Was more like a three star, as opppsed to a four star, though. Staff could use a little customer service training.”

Hotel Guest from CH “This is one of the worst experiences I ever had at a hotel. The hotel is not really located in downtown, but it is a ten minute tram ride to the city center. I stayed here on a week long stay that was absolutely terrible!

“This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. a 3 star. no help available to handle luggage. elevator is up a flight of steps, no ramp for wheeled luggage. our rooms were small. no table or armchair. the TV was on the desk so the bed needed to serve as a work space. one of our rooms had a bathtub w/shower, other room a shower stall only. no shampoo, lotion or stuff like that. lots of hot water, very clean, breakfast is ample and good. The tram stop is just steps from the front door. staff friendly and helpful. very unlikely that I'll stay there again as I really want a bathtub in my room.”

“ First of all, unless you want a room on a very noisy street with trams running by at almost all hours, you will have to pay to upgrade. Ugrading doesn't get you a nicer room - only moved to the back of the hotel so that you're off the street. When you enter your hotel room you will find furnishings on par with what you'd expect to find in a LaQuinta. In other words, this is a 2 or 3 star hotel at the most. The towels are postage-stamp sized and extremely thin, equivalent to basic gym towels. The mattress is extremely thin. The carpet is industrial-like. The walls are almost bare and stark white. The shower is over the tub and is furnished with one of those thin, nasty vinyl curtains - the real cheap kind you would buy for your college apartment.”

“The description of the hotel on internet doesn't correspond to the reality. That is 2 maybe 2 1/2 stars hotel. Very small rooms, practically no services nor facilities. The hotel doesn't even have internet....Location and parking under any standards.”

“This hotel cannot qualify as a 4 star hotel. At best it was an ordinay Motel. I will never recommend this hotel to any one.”

Norm from Leesburg, VA “Clean, good value and close to public transportation... BUT I would NOT rate it as high as they rate themselves - no more than 2 stars”

Jan R. from Salt Lake City “Hotel great overall but, some people may want to consider that there is a flight of about 8 or so steps to the elevator. I didn't see nor was offered service with the luggage so luggage needs to be schlepped up these steps by the guest. Room is large, comfortable and quiet. Delicious full breakfast available at reasonable rate. Just steps from the trolley stop. Trolley goes everywhere with transfers from hotel.”

Charles L. from Rowland Heights “The staff are not friendly at all, they gave us a one person room for two persons' reservation (me and my wife). The manner of the front desk are rude and totally not willing to help. The hotel should not be a 4-star at all! Totally Disappointing...” Amenities at Mercure Stoller Zurich, Zurich
