  • Beautiful historic building with the real colonial experience, unique, not your typical hotel.
  • Extremely rock-hard beds, which caused me neck problems while there and continuing, don't try enjoying its public patios with your own bottle of wine.

“While the historic beauty and unique colonial character of this hotel is breath-taking (it is a 16th century converted convent), the physical need of a comfortable bed (ours was beyond hard, like a concrete slab with a sheet) puts our experience with this hotel as negative. The room also smelled very musty. We will not return to this establishment.”

  • Beautiful, historic, comfortable. A real pleasure.

“A former convent, the building is designed around numerous courtyards, painted stucco bright gold. The feel of sunshine all over. Thick adobe walls, fresh cold air at night. Lovely bar with entertainment. Excellent food. 3 blocks from zocolo. Perfect.”

  • Great ambiance, superb location, plentiful staff.

“The hotel offers an historical ambiance in a great location. It is well maintained and peaceful. One can experience the perfect weather by relaxing in the courtyard. It is not luxurious or replete with amenities (swimming pool, workout room) because of its historical nature. It was quiet because it was not fully occupied. We saw the potential for it being noisy due to loud spots in the floor, courtyard conversations and loud doors. ”
