• Very large room.
• Bathroom (shower/toilet) cramped (not good if don't like small spaces).

“This hotel was adequate. With the exception of the fact that the shower toilet area (separated from the sink) was very cramped, the rest of the room was very large, great for small children and the fridge in the room was handy. The hotel was supposedly fully renovated in 2007, so with that in mind, it didn't seem quite as clean-looking as it should have been. It was by no means dirty just not as fresh as it should have looked being renovated only a year ago. Nothing really wrong with the hotel and the staff was friendly, just nothing special about it either. stayed at a Holiday inn Express the next night, same star rating, but far nicer hotel.”

• Convenient location.
• Room was not clean. poor maid service. Staff was unconcerned with our displeasure at dirty room.

“We were very displeased with the room the moment we stepped in the door. The room barely looked like it had been cleaned. The sheets were dirty and there were still items left from previous guests in the room. We went to the front desk to voice our displeasure and the clerk assigned a new room with no concern for our dissatisfaction. The new room was directly next door to the older room and was in similar condition. The sheets were dirty and the room was again barely cleaned. I have had several great experiences but this was the first that was not good. I will definitely not recommend this Hotel to anyone and I would recommend that to lowers the star rating of this Hotel to something more in the 1 star range.”

• Convenient, place to sleep.
• It should be totally non-smoking.

“Not a destination place-but for an overnight or two-it was ok. Reasonably priced. Best part was the free breakfast if you wanted it.”

• Nasty, dirty, smokey hallways, unwelcoming front desk area.

“This hotel was no where near 2 1/2 stars-the parking lot, hallways and front foyer were nasty, poorly constructed and dirty. The rooms were clean, but basic.”

• Met my budget and was clean.
• Bathroom was too small. I wanted two beds and got one.

“This hotel was ok. The bathroom was so small it was impossible to close the door without stepping into the tub. It wasn't a luxury hotel by any means, but was very clean. Other than the size of the bathroom it was acceptable and I was pleased.”

• Bad continental breakfast, no heat in hallways, unattractive location, tiny bathroom.

“The feeling of the hotel was a lot more "budget" than I expected from its 2.5-star rating and the description on Best Western's website. A lot of the amenities felt like an afterthought, rather than an integral part of the hotel. Not anywhere I would have chosen for our belated Valentine's Day weekend.”

• It had a pool.
• They did not have cribs. We were not willing to change rooms to accommodate my needs, and the hotel lobby was smelly.

“Convenient location, but overall poor service and foul odor in lobby. Was an off season stay hotel may be better at other times of the year.”

• The pool was great. The water was bath tub warm.
• The room was ice cold when we checked in. Minor problem since we turned on the heat, and headed out for a while. Problem solved.

“It was a nice hotel in a great location. A short ride to the beach, many restaurants, and the Kittery Shopping outlets. I highly recommend it for the price.”

• There was no microwave.

“Hotel was easy to find and convenient to Kittery outlet shopping. The room was neat and clean. There was a fridge, but no microwave. Front desk was friendly. No hassle when we asked to check-out an hour after check out time.”

• Pool did not look very clean or inviting, breakfast nothing special (example "eggs" consisted of a package of hard boiled eggs).

• This hotel was recently done over, everything was clean and new.
• Toilet and tub space was small.

“I was looking for a clean, relatively new hotel to attend a wedding in the area. This hotel fit our request. The furniture and decor were new. The rooms are small but comfortable. The toilet/tub space is small. Sink is outside of toilet/tub space. Worth the price.”
