• Convenient to downtown but long walk to Smithsonian's.
• Very small room until we requested a change of rooms.

“We were originally assigned a very small corner room which was upgraded after we made the request for change the next day. Also, though it was to be a non-smoking room, there was smoke filtering through the vents. Our first night in this hotel was less than pleasant.”

“Overall a pleasant experience. The bathroom was very small (barely room to open the door without hitting the toilet). Bed was comfy! Works well if you are planning just to sleep there and sight see the rest of the day.”

• The cookies are always the best; the staff were friendly & helpful; and the fitness room was handy.
• The bathtub drain didn't work & left you standing in a few inches of water & the iron was broken.

“This hotel was a great deal for the rate received on Priceline which is why I can't really complain. However, if I were to pay a typical Hilton hotels rate, the room would definitely not have cut it. While the bathrooms & overall room-size are quite small and the bathroom a bit smelly, they're functional for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable, but there was a lot of ambient noise from the street & within the hotel. For a single night, all was good in terms of practicality & location to have a quick tour of the town.”

• I got a cookie every time I went through the lobby.
• Too far (4 blocks) from a metro stop.

“The bathrooms were small, manageable. We were lucky to get free WiFi in our room by logging on in the lobby to the free network and staying connected for free in our room on the 5th floor. Otherwise (as of 7/2009) internet is $9.95 per day! No fridge in the room. There is no pool or hot tub.”

• Delicious free cookies, free internet and comfy beds.

“This was a nice and quiet hotel that was within walking distance of downtown Washington DC and all of the museums and monuments. The room was very clean and comfortable, but rather small. The staff was very helpful and friendly and more than willing to give out extra welcome cookies on request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great hotel that is close to all of the sights in DC.”

• The hotel was centrally located and moderately upscale.

“The hotel was moderately upscale and I was pleased with the overall layout of the room. There was ample space for 2 adults and 2 children to sleep comfortably. The room I stayed was in close to the elevator which I preferred.”

• It was a few blocks off the beaten path in a nice quiet neighborhood.
• That location did make it just a slightly too long walk between the two nearest metro stations.

“Hotel room was clean, quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. Only downside was TV, reception bad and doors slam shut, other than that hotel was great and would highly recommend.”

• The beds are nice.
• We did not get a king size bed suite, got 2 double size bed instead. does not provide public parking, just valet.

“This hotel is clean and modern looking. The location is also nice, a good walking distance to popular attractions in Washington, DC. Parking is valet and the service charge is expensive. You have to find your own public parking on the streets if you don't want to pay too expensively. Our service help desk person gave us cookies when we checked in, it was really good. I would go to this hotel again with a cheaper rate and make sure I check in earlier than last time so I can get the room I want.”

• The staff of the hotel are hospitable.

“It has been my second stay at this hotel. The spot is at a strategic spot - very convenient to where I am going during my stay in Washington, D.C. The rooms are clean and it is filled with hospitable staff members starting from the best man to the receiptionists and the cleaning staff who need to be complimented.”
