• I liked the cookies.
• The bathroom was clean but real small.

“This was a great hotel that was near everything. It was clean and the staff real nice and helpful. I really liked the free cookies. The smell of fresh baked cookies gave the hotel a homey feeling.”

• Bed was comfortable, AC worked well, cookies were good.
• Staff not knowledgeable, no pool onsite, few channels, no family friendly menu, pay for water, pay for WiFi.

“Overall, this is a nice hotel as far as room & lobby decor. The staff wasn't able to provide complete, accurate information regarding menu, directions, ticket sales, providing replacement newspaper, etc. The management staff was very helpful and accommodating. This hotel is definitely not family friendly. Also, not great for business travelers as in-room WiFi is extra. The cookies were good, but it would have been great if they were provided every evening. The huge valet parking fee was unexpected and unwarranted.”

“No free parking on the street, but location was very convenient to many good restaurants. Metro/bus stops more than 3 blocks away.”

• The Valet parking was a one time fee and the staff is excellent.
• Not quite as nice as I expected for a 4 star rating.

“Nice hotel for business travelers. The business center on the 2nd floor with free internet can be very useful.”

• Comfortable room and bed, pleasant staff.
• Metro a bit too far to walk to in bad weather, and towels were rough.

“Good Doubletree quality- comfortable beds, Neutrogena bath products, warm cookie upon check-in! This particular hotel, however, had poor quality bath towels. Other than that, only problem was poor adult movie selection - especially for gay travelers!”

• The room was very spacious and updated.
• There wasnt a pool.

“We were very pleased to get such a great rate. The staff didn't treat us any differently and were very accommodating. They were very helpful granting our request to upgrade the room to a suite since we were traveling with the young children. No additional charge.”

• Free shuttle took us everywhere we wanted to go.
• Took too long to get drink and food at bar.

“Nice hotel, although not near downtown as we specified in our request. Should have been listed as Dupont area because it's only 3 blocks from there. Great staff. Nice free shuttle.”

“A really nice place to stay. Great rooms, great people, staff was super. Really enjoyed. The food was out of this world great and tasty. Great cooks and everything looked and tasted like the TV food shows food. Really enjoyed it.”

• The bed and bedding was wonderful; friendly, helpful staff.
• Nothing, we were very pleased with our stay.

“We had a very good experience. What could be better than being handed warm cookies upon check-in? Hotel is walking distance to the White House and national monuments. After a long day we sank into the wonderfully comfortable bed, with nice linens. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.”

• No parking available.

“The parking issue was my only problem with this property. There are 800 rooms and only 200 spaces. They do however accommodate for "valet" at $26.00 a night.”

• The food in the dining room was a little expensive.

• The check in was expedient and the furnishings and bedding were extremely comfortable.
• The size of the bathroom was so small that it was just barely adequate for a small person and is just too small.

“My stay at Doubletree property, for a business meeting, met my expectations for a business friendly location and atmosphere. The decor was upscale and modern and the hotel's small lobby area was nicely furnished and comfortable. Its location on Rhode Island Avenue was convenient to the locate dining options and the metro. I ate at the upscale restaurant which was quite good (I had a nicely prepared swordfish) and the service was good. My only small issue was the small bathroom which barely gave me room to turn around. I am a petite size 6 female.”

“The bathrooms at this hotel more closely resemble those experienced on a cruise ship. They are small and cramped. The entire property is dated and no longer deserves a 3 star tag.”

• The staff was very professional and friendly, they assisted me as needed. The staff checked completed my paperwork in a timely manner.
• The rooms with the King bed had a very small bathroom, my husband is a big man and it was very uncomfortable for him to enter the shower.

“The hotel was very nice and comfortable and did meet my needs. However, the bathroom was entirely too small for a man of my husband's size. The carpet was also dirty and really needs a good cleaning.”

• Room interior needs updating. Vending machine on floor wasn't replenished. Housekeeping poor.
