• Location.
• The tub was stained with dirt! The bathroom floor was also stained. Not well kept.

“Although the hotel has a great location is quite expensive for what it offers. The rooms are not well kept and overall the rugs and floors need to be cleaned better.”

• It was a suite with a separate sitting area and a sofa bed.
• The rooms were very small and the wireless service was poor. Although the room looked and smelled clean there was a roach on the ceiling in the sitting.

“The rooms were clean, the maids allowed us to sleep in late every morning and the staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. The clerk even gave us cookies to take for the trip home. Very nice indeed.”

• Good location to St. Augustine sites and beaches.
• Significant mildew smell in room that ruined the stay.

“Our room met our expectations as it pertains to fixtures and sanitation however there was an odors to the air conditioning system that spoiled our stay. The restroom was mildewed and everything was damp. The lobby was nice and a minimal breakfast was available each morning. Definitely a nuts and bolts stay.”

• The employees were very friendly and pleasant.
• Unkept hotel, wallpaper peeling, walls smeared with caulk, very loud air conditioning. This is not a pleasant hotel.

“This hotel is not in a good part of St. Augustine and more than a mile from the historic district. It is not clean and the air conditioning is so loud, you have to turn it off at night to sleep. The value from 1 to 5 with 5 being the best is a 1.”

• I liked the continental breakfast and the wireless internet.
• The carpets were dirty and filled with odor. The pool was small.

“The hotel was slightly better than average. I stayed for five nights on the second floor in a handicap accessible room. The hallways carpets were dirty. The pool area was very small, but attractive. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. The exercise room was on the small side, but the hotel was within two miles of many attractions.”

• Free cookies all day and night! Convenient to the trolley & train stops. Noon checkout!
• No attractions were within walking distance. Better to stay at beach or downtown.

“Although it is not within walking distance to either the beach or the downtown area, it is convenient if you plan to visit both and drive to each. The hotel was clean and reasonably well-appointed for the price range. The hours for the breakfast were sufficient and checkout time was noon. The pool is a bit small.”

• Nice lobby and cookies.
• Hallway carpets were filthy!

“Very nice visit except for the hallway carpets, I don't think they have been cleaned in over a year. The dirt was extremely visible. Rooms were clean and continental breakfast was adequate.”

• The shower did not work properly.

• Location was great, walking distance from many of the sites.
• Not close enough to basic fast food restaurants.

“I enjoyed the stay in this hotel, and I will stay again in the near future at the same hotel. The staff was more helpful than any I have seen in a long time, so my sincere thanks goes to them.”

• Was a business hotel not in historical St Aug.
• It was a business hotel and rate 2 1/2 star not 3 as shown in picture.

“Business hotel not in downtown historical St Aug is a 2 1/2 star hotel over priced and not what anyone wanting to be in historical St Aug would go to.”

• I love that there is coffee available in the lobby at all times and fresh baked cookies, too. We stay there, often.

“This hotel is very pleasant. The staff is very personable, the rooms are always clean and comfy, and the continental breakfast is appetizing.”

• Location to the historic district.
• Bathroom.

“Location was great and hotel was nice however the room wasn't all that great. The television was small and A/C noisy. The shower head holder was broken and wallpaper was peeling off the walls with mold on walls. Was NOT work the hundred plus spent on room.”

• Near Downtown St.Augustine.
• The AC/Heat unit made a bunch of noise/consumed the room.

“It was clean and nice. I would recommend that the handicap parking space at the rear exit be adjusted to allow for luggage/guests to exit without having to fight cars in that space. Overall the room was acceptable for a 2.5 star and the service was very good.”

• Staff was excellent, rooms were large.
• Toilets would not flush, had to keep using plunger.

“It was a very nice hotel, a bit far from the historic district though. Staff was the friendliest and most helpful than any hotel in recent memory. Rooms were nice & large. They need to get their toilets working properly though! We had to use their plunger every day!”

• Rooms were neat and clean with everything in good working order.
• This location is a little far from the historic district.

“This hotel was neat and clean. The location is a little far from the historic area, but there are trolley tours that come very close by. It was definitely a good value for the money. I would however recommend a fan if you area light sleeper. The air/heat makes very little noise so you can hear cars as they pass on the street.”

• Fair accessibility to Downtown historic area.
• A bit far from major attractions and shopping. It's better to drive than walk.

“The hotel would not accommodate our request for a better room that was not for handicapped individuals. My husband and I are not handicapped. Also, the room's conditions (i.e. bathroom fixtures, rug, and furniture) were quite worn and clearly dirty requiring replacement. The television was not working properly. My husband and I had to call the front desk. The manager in charge for repairs was helpful, although my husband fixed the problem. Our room was also in a bad location, as it was near an exit door. The exit door was slamming loudly all night disrupting our sleep in the early morning hours. On my next visit to St. Augustine, my husband and I will not choose this hotel and do not recommend it. In the past, we have paid the same rate and have received much better accommodations than this place!”

“Public areas were clean yet rooms were not that clean. Ceiling was mold stained and carpets felt damp. Edges of carpet dirty. Bathroom door would not close and water not hot in shower. We used the hotel for a family vacation and for what we paid it was ok. Had we booked through the hotel direct, would have been too much $ for what we experienced.”
