• Free breakfast, jacuzzi, pool, free internet.
• The thermostat in the room was difficult to figure out.

“The room temperature was 79 degrees when we arrived. So we turned the thermostat in the room down to 60 degrees. But OMG we awoke at 3 a.m. to a sweltering 80 degrees! Apparently we failed to press the snowflake button on the thermostat. So an otherwise perfect stay turned rather miserable. I just wish someone had set the room to a comfortable temperature for us before our arrival late that night.”

• Hotel was clean, location was quiet, and the breakfast was excellent.
• It would have been easy to miss the highway turnoff on the northbound side of the 101.

“It met our expectations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent including egg omelets, sausage, and biscuits & gravy plus the normal continental breakfast items.”

• Very attentive staff.
• Pool area did not seenm to be monitored. I was under the impression some of the people there were not guests.

• Room was a good size, plenty of towels, breakfast was good.
• Small gym.

“Overall this was a good hotel to stay at. The room size was adequate and had king size bed with a desk and a couch. Still plenty of room. There's a mini-fridge. Only missing thing was a safe. The gym consisted of a few machines, i.e. elliptical machine and bike. The gym also had a sanitary spray to wash off sweat on the machines and cold towels. They did have a swimming pool too. A bonus was breakfast, not your typical continental breakfast of Danish pastries. They had yogurt, juice, (apple, orange, cranberry) milk, bagels, biscuits with gravy, eggs, cereal, pastries, and fruit.”

• The entire staff was very friendly & helpful. Front desk, maid service & breakfast lounge service. Also, the breakfast selection & quality was great.
• The chlorine in the indoor swimming pool could be detected in the lobby. We couldn't stay in the pool area for very long time period due to the odor.

• Front receptionist was very nice and lobby was clean.
• Swimming pool was hard to get in.

“Overall, a positive experience. Staff was nice. Parking lot is small and was hard to get a spot when we left.”

“Only stayed one night. Very nice 3 star hotel. Clerk gave us a top floor room with a very nice view. It had the most impressive breakfast room I've seen in a 3 star hotel. Overall a 5 star stay.”

• It was super close to the fairgrounds and restaurants.
• I don't think there was anything I did not like. Everything was good.

“This hotel is a great place to stay while visiting the mid-state fair. It is walking distance to the fair and lots of restaurants nearby. I will probably check on this hotel again for next year's mid-state fair event.”

• It was convenient to the State Fair grounds and that was our goal.
• The view from the window was to a junk yard.

“The Holiday Inn Express serves a purpose to those busy during the day outside of the hotel. This facility serves the purpose. It is unclear as to why the architect chose to have the views either to the junk yard or the parking lot.”

• The beds are extremely comfortable.
• Cleaning staff is loud & noisy.

“I have stayed at this hotel many times & always feel very comfortable & welcomed. The beds & pillows are comfortable & the rooms very clean. However when the cleaning staff comes on duty they are very noisy, yelling down the hallways to each other. Out of consideration for others they should have walkie-talkies to speak to each other.”

• Too noisy, should have some fans in the room for noise.

“I have stayed here before & really like it. Sometimes the noise level is horrible from rooms upstairs. It would be nice to have fans where noise levels can be died down some.”

• The location by the fairgrounds was awesome!
• The lobby was a little humid because of the indoor pool, but not bad.

“Great location by Paso Robles Fairgrounds - walking distance to restaurants. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.”
