“The Shem Creek Inn was a very accommodating hotel with very nice guest rooms and a great location for people looking for someplace tucked away from a busy area but also in relative distance to attractions. Very good for someone looking to engage in a fun night life with four restaurant/bars in close proximity.”

“The staff greeted us like we were long lost family and even the Manager came out to chat from her office, striking up a conversation when she heard where we were from. Breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel without a restaurant but there are terrific restaurants nearby. We had been to this hotel before so we were perfectly happy just hanging out at the creek and did not get in our car until we left. We really enjoyed everything about this place from check in to check out. Parking lot was all sand but I think it adds to the character of the Inn.”

“This hotel was the perfect spot to stay. The atmosphere was awesome. Plenty of places right next door to eat or have a drink. Pool over-looked harbor. Dolphin were jumping in the harbor. Just really great. I would definitely stay again.”

“My mom and I were looking for a night get away in Charleston. This hotel was very clean, nice comfortable beds and the hotel staff was very friendly the only thing was that our room that over looked the water was located next to an outdoor restaurant bar. It was so noisy. We didn't get a good night sleep till 5 a.m. This was a Monday night I can only imagine what a weekend would be like. If your looking for a party atmosphere then this is a place for you. Not a family hotel.”

“We loved the location of the hotel, as one side of it looks out onto Shem Creek. Alas, our room had a view of the parking lot. But, since we arrived late at night and left by mid-morning, it wasn't really an issue. It is very near several seafood restaurants where we have eaten and enjoyed before. The free continental breakfast featured fresh Crispy Crème pastries, as well as more healthful items. We would like to stay there again.”

“The rooms are nicely appointed; very comfortable bedding with down comforters. Private balconies offer nice look over marsh even on parking lot side of hotel. Many choices for continental breakfast were a plus for our little one.”

“Great location and good value. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Free wireless internet and breakfast. Things that keep this from being perfect are little details like cable going in and out due to loose cable connection. Had to jiggle toilet handle after flushing. Friendly staff and would definitely recommend.”

“I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and it never fails to please. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained and the decor is basic but tasteful. The situation of the hotel is perfect, right on the creek with several lively bars surrounding it and excellent seafood restaurants but if you prefer you can just sit on the deck by the pool and watch the boating world go by. Within easy reach of Charleston too, the Shem Creek Inn is a perfect location.”
