• The location was great.
• Room was not clean, linens were not washed, and the staff did not correct issues.

“I was very disappointed in the hotel. First, the linens did not appear to have been washed. Second, there was something sticky on the desk that had attracted ants. When we told the hotel staff about our issues, they said they would fix it but never did. I was very disappointed and will never stay there again!”

• Friendly staff, nice breakfast and excellent location.
• Maid service was sometimes late to clean, parking was $25 a day for valet.

“Pleasant little hotel right in the middle of South Beach. Less than 2 blocks to the beach, about 7 blocks to Lincoln St. Comfortable but not luxurious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast with a waffle machine! I would stay there again if I were in the area.”

• The only thing worthwhile about this hotel is the location.
• The hotel is dirty and small and should be a 1 star not a 4 star.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and was very disappointed when I arrived because I thought it was a 4 star It was small, dirty, had no amenities, no charm. would never stay there again.”

• Convenient, clean, quiet.
• Limited cable TV - no Fox news's channel.

“The hotel is conveniently located in the South Beach area with easy access to the beach. Rooms have limited cable TV and No Fox news channel. If you're a CNN type you'll be ok with the liberal stations.”

• Great location near the beach. Great continental breakfast.
• Lots of extra charges ($8 for amenities, $25 for parking).

“It is a renovated art deco hotel in the historic south beach area. It's like stepping back in time. Only 1 block from gorgeous beach. I'd definitely stay here again.”

• The art deco atmosphere was awesome.
• I wished it had the vs. Network so I could have caught the last hockey game for pit NY.

“The hotel was nice. The location was not even a block away from the beach, restaurants, and night life I enjoyed all of my stay at this hotel the decorating was cool and the bathroom was nice they had a great bar”

• Very bad management, bad place.

“Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Dirty, loud, impossible to park without paying an arm and a leg. Good location, but there are plenty of other places that are better and cheaper. Blue moon does not allow any changes once you've paid - so if you have to leave early, you get no sympathy - just "pay up!", even if they can book the room again. We canceled in the middle of the stay and went elsewhere - even though we had to pay. A good night's sleep is worth it and you can't get one at the blue moon.”

• Hotel staff helpful. Bartender, Monica, great. In the heart of Sobe.
• Everything small but quaint. Old fashion elevator. Some parts of hotel much older than others.

“Certainly not a luxury hotel, but great place to stay for play.”

• Good location, good amenities.
• The room was pink, mini bar was deceptive.

“The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Although, when we arrived, our room had been taken so we had to stay at the Essex House (which was just terrible) for one day. When we returned to the Blue Moon, they didn't have the room with two beds that we had requested, so we had to use a cot. The mini bar policy was deceptive. The bottled water in the room was $5, and there was no indication that it was part of the mini bar. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the maid service was excellent. This hotel is in a great location in South Beach, with restaurants, shops, and the beach within walking distance.”

• The hotel proximity to the beach and stores.
• I had to acquire food from outside of the hotel.

“I was a guest the weekend of May 20th-23rd, which was my birthday weekend!! The hotel was comfortable, and I loved the decor. My room was on the first floor, peach decor, with a view of the pool. The concierge assisted with my schedule of events which included snorkeling and a miami tour. Next trip, I'll book in advance to swim with the dolphins!”
