• I loved the large room and the attractiveness of the facility.
• The spa was inferior to the rest of the hotel.

“We stayed at this hotel because there were no openings at the Grand Canyon. Upon seeing the hotel we wished we could stay even longer. After our stay we knew we would come back if we visit the Grand Canyon again. We found the hotel attractive, clean and the staff friendly and accommodating.”

• My kids liked the public game rooms/bowling alley.
• Vending machines were not convenient.

“The room was spacious, clean & comfortable. It's location was convenient for our visit to the Grand Canyon. I would stay there again if I returned. My kids especially enjoyed the bowling alley.”

• Convenient location, nice facilities and good quality.
• Must book in advance because there is definitely a tendency for it to fill quickly.

“Nice hotel for the price. I would venture to say this was one of the nicer holiday inn expresses that I have stayed at. The facilities were fairly new and well maintained - higher quality sheets and towels than usual. The breakfast that is included is a great deal with a substantial selection to choose from. Note that there are not too many local places to stop at before you head to the canyon - just a couple of dinner places in plazas nearby. There is an Imax theater just down the street, and a coupon for discounted tickets was presented upon our arrival - great chance to have something to keep kids busy in the evening. The hotel is located about as close as you can get to the canyon without actually staying in the park. The ride to the south rim is no more than 15 minutes maximum. I would highly recommend this hotel as a nice place and convenient location. Can't be beat!”

• The onsite family fun center was convenient.
• There were no elevators to rooms above the first floor.

“We stayed at this hotel because it was very convenient to the grand canyon and it met our needs for those purposes. We had a handicapped person in our party, so having to go to separate buildings to use the hot tub or the family fun center or restaurants wasn't as convenient as it could have been. Also, there weren't any elevators in the building that our room was in, so we had to carry our luggage up a set of stairs. I wouldn't have expected that in a hotel that offered as many onsite amenities as this one had. There also didn't seem to be enough handicapped parking per building. There was only one space in front of our building that I could see, and it was already taken.”

• Toilet did not flush. I had to go down stairs to use restrooms.

“I heard the Children were running in the corridor. It was pretty noisy. Our toilet did not flush too well. We had to use a toilet down stairs. Water was runnng low in the shower. The receptionist was not that helpful when I asked for recommendation on viewing sunrise at Grand Canyon. I had to rate this hotel pretty low.”
