• Great location and friendly service.
• Not the most esthetically perfect place, but acceptable for the cost.

“Proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had a little kitchenette complete with stove, fridge, cabinets and utensils. Cable TV, VHS and DVD. Wireless internet in the rooms and of course in the office. Free parking and Try to find that on Miami Beach!”

• Close to the beach and close to the airport and the owner was extremely nice.
• No elevator.

“Upon discovering the hotel did not have an elevator the young man (owner?) without hesitation carried my bags upstairs and did not expect a tip. extremely nice. I described this hotel as swanky and quaint. Nice for 1 or 2 days.”

“It was great! Movies to watch, clean room, 1 block from the beach, very friendly management. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if I had any reason to go to Fort Lauderdale.”

• Great, helpful staff.
• Bathroom doorknob got locked inside door.

“I felt like I was in a nice Mexican (Cuban) or European motel or pensioner quite honestly. We even had a little lizard in our room. But the room was very clean and old, but not run down. Huge TVs, comfy clean beds and bathrooms, nice atmosphere, great pool - laid back and lovely - and a block from the ocean. We really loved it here. And I loved the price too.”

• Cheap, clean, directly on the beach. Big room with all amenities.
• Old, no elevator.

“For the money, it was great. We had a 2 bedroom room and lacked nothing. Yes it is old and dated, but I would stay there again. Very accommodating staff. Location.”

• Underground parking was nice.
• Pool was not functioning.

“This is just your basic cheap hotel. Great for a large group of travelers who don't want to spend much money. Couldn't beat that part of it.”

• The workers went out of their way to make you happy.
• Very old. Clean but not nice.

“The workers are great and the rooms are clean. The hotel is old and run down and seemed more of a hotel for college kids. There was no carpet in the rooms and did not stay cool at night because all they have for AC is a window unit. The front desk did find a fan for us so that was nice but it was still very hot.”

• Pool was clean. Bed was OK.
• Old rundown and not well maintained.

“Hotel is old and not well maintained. The bed was ok but the room was small and cluttered with TV, old bar fridge, coffee pot and window AC (all on the same plug). Good location for beach. Pool was clean, not used much. Three floor walk up. Noisy! Wife's comment "never again!”

• It did not let us check in until 1 in the afternoon.

• Staff was excellent, if we asked for it, they got it. They even did our laundry at 9 pm.
• Elevator broke; deadbolts didn't work, kinda far from restaurants and bars but close to beach.

“3 story, no elevator. Tile floors window units. All had kitchenettes which was nice. Very small rooms though. Deadbolts didn't work which is much unsecured. Beautiful view of the ocean and best service I have ever had. We didn't have an iron they gave us theirs.”

• Noisy spring breakers.

“For the price of the hotel, I was very pleased. During spring break time, I would recommend not staying if you are a light sleeper. However, the sound of the a/c tends to drown out the noise. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay and I would recommend it to the budget traveler.”

“Most of the workers did not speak English. It was really noisy at all hours of the night. You could hear everything that was going on outside, so you didn't get sleep. It was really close to the beach, and had free internet access were the only nice things about this hotel. We will not stay here again.”
