• Friendly staff. Coping well given the facilities are being refurbished.
• The rooms were dark due to the fact they were facing mainly north.

“As a golf resort excellent, coping well at present with the refurbishment, but no main dining room at present therefore needs to drive to local town for a substantial meal.”

• Quiet, unobtrusive staff, secluded location, exceptional dining in small and personal dining room.
• Cannot think of one bad comment.

“Carmel Valley Ranch is a one of a kind secret that best friends keep to themselves. Northern California has many "nice" places, but for the road weary traveler, this is the only place. CVR has been our refuge since finding it in early '80's. Expect very informal but attentive staff, lack of big hotel bustle, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, crows, hawks, deer etc. are the only noise makers here. Eat exquisite cuisine in a very understated dining room while looking out onto gnarly oaks festooned with hanging moss. Or enjoy the PRIVATE outdoor whirlpool on the deck while you take in the breathtaking beauty of the valley, snuggle in fabulous beds or enjoy an indoor whirlpool bath, light the fireplaces in front and back bedroom...”
