• Great desk help & use of brunch room for family game time in evening.
• Nothing. It was beyond greatest expectations.

“Very courteous, friendly, large clean room, wonderful brunch, clean and nice outdoors with good landscaping and annual flowers, picnic table and outdoor chairs to use.”

• The breakfast was ok though not enough.
• The smell was awful, the room was missing things, and staff didnt seem to care.

“My daughter and I wanted a weekend away in Grand Rapids and this hotel was inexpensive. I should have just paid the extra to stay some place nice. The room had a weird smell, there were lamp fixtures missing, the blanket had hair all over it, someone took our towels from the pool and hot tub area. Then the hot tub was more like a cool tub because the heater didnt work. When I complained about it the girl at the desk said "yeah I know" Wow was she a rocket scientist or what.”

• Country Inn and Suites is always clean and neat and the people friendly.
• The breakfast/dining area was small, and the eggs were artificial.

“This hotel was not as clean as most of the Country Inn and Suites I have stayed at, but it was not necessarily dirty either. The maid did not get all the cleanser off the sink top or in the tub, so it felt and looked streaky and gritty. The pillows had a sweaty odor.”

• The pillows and beds were very comfortable! Great breakfast! Very quaint!
• Windows open to the pool area so anyone coming in could see you.

“This is a quaint hotel with all the comfort of a deluxe hotel at half the cost! It serves a full breakfast under the guise of "a continental breakfast" which is sure to please all. The friendly staff, roominess of the bathroom and room layout will all add to your enjoyment. Relax in the hot tub, or take a refreshing dip in the pool. This hotel is minutes away from the shopping districts, museums, theaters, and more in the Grand Rapids area. A sure pleasure at a great price!”

• Free breakfast.
• Hard to find very poor signage & far off main drag. Lots of dogs at the hotel barking.

“Need large sign on main road. Hotel is far off main road and it's difficult to figure out how to get to it. We passed it several times. There is allotting of dogs in the hotel that bark. Maybe these rooms should be in one location. We like dogs!”

• Excellent breakfast buffet.
• Front desk staff could have been friendlier.

“I was very pleased with our stay at Country Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was small but nice, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. My only complaint is that we asked the front desk for directions to Michigan's Adventure and were given printed directions that were wrong; taking us one hour out of our way. This was a horrible start to our family vacation! I am happy to say that we finally arrived at Michigan's Adventure and had a great time in spite of the huge inconvenience.”

• Breakfast was outstanding, plenty of everything.
• The only bad thing that I have to say is that the photo that you showed on the web site is totally different to the actually hotel. Were disappointed.

“The hotel was lovely but again I was disappointed not to get the room that was on the web site, I felt that it was very misleading to people. Other than that I would stay there again and send my friends too.”

• Clean, friendly and pet friendly makes a difference. I was on business with my wife.
• Could use more pillows on King Bed.

“We were very happy with our choice and as we travel to Grand Rapids quite often we will stay there again. We have stayed in many of the hotels there and this is on par or better than any that we have stayed in.”

• Breakfast was more substantial than I expected.
• Several small things needed fixing.

“Friendly staff, good breakfast. Room could have used more than one wastebasket. Pool was pleasant. Exercise room not well ventilated- far too hot. Tub didn't drain well. One of the pillow cases seemed pre-used. We missed the drive and got on the freeway instead- unfortunate proximity.”
