“The Econo Lodge we stayed at is called Econo Lodge & Suites" in Clarks ville, TN, located on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (but I can't imagine that there are 2 Econo Lodges just off the highway?) I was so disappointed with our stay that I was taking the time to write this review. We picked up a travel coupon at a tourism building. (Coupons are good, but not as good as Priceline!) On check in. The owner told us, when I asked for an additional towel for our 3rd person, that there were towels in the room and that because we had used a coupon, we'd have to pay for any extras. There were only 2 towels in the room. One tiny bottle of shampoo, enough for one person and he wanted to charge us for more! Our toilet was broken, and after 5 hours on the road. We all had to go. Instead of quickly moving us to a new room (the hotel was virtually empty), we were told that he'd come fix it shortly. An hour later, he did come and fix it but it was terribly inconvenient. We asked for a cot/roll away bed for our 3rd person, and you guessed it, we were told we'd have to pay $20.00! We'd already paid a per-person price for the 2 extra people. The owner was trying to nickel and dimming us. The next morning, at the typical waffle, cereal, oatmeal bar, the coffee and orange juice was so watered down, it was undrinkable. And, the owner's wife literally watched the patrons to make sure we weren't stealing! We know she was doing this because every time someone would approach the food bar, she'd step into the room to wash a table or chair that she'd already washed 5 or 6 times. I've traveled around the entire world, literally, and my one night stay at this hotel stands out as one of the absolute worst, most shocking, of them all. It cost more than my stay at an upscale hotel in Atlanta with exquisite bedding, and here the pillows were so flat that with two stacked together, my head was still pancaked to the mattress. The mattress, too, was terrible. It must've been ancient! The rooms are in desperate need of a make over. This hotel is located in a hotel alley, with dozens of hotels lined up on both sides of the road as you exit the highway. I can't imagine it will be in business long, with all that competition, if the owner doesn't change his ways and do some upgrading!”

“My stay at the Econo Lodge in Clarksville was a disappointment. While in the bathroom water poured from ceiling on me. Staff declined said my toilet was leaking not from the ceiling. Ceiling tiles was very wet. Noise control was horrible. There was no security to remove the hotel occupants that keep me and my family up all night we could not get any rest for our long 5 hour trip the next day. Very disappointed in the service. I strongly recommend not going back to hotel for any future business in Clarksville TN”
